What sets ETH apart is its plan to keep its vision for strong decentralization. You could argue that POS speaks against it, but they have already come up with potential solutions to counter any misbehavior in the network that is against the network. After all, these are all experiments and we can only guess and try to understand technology and anticipate the different results of it.

BSC actually has pretty strong support. but if you look at the coin capacity, ETH is still stronger than BSC. ETH's clear ecosystem support is still the strongest.
although the popularity of BSC continues to increase, it will not shift ETH.
