Author Topic: Accidentally Sent 0.4 Bitcoin to My Poloniex Usdt Wallet. I need help!!  (Read 120 times)

Hi, I accidently sent (0.4) Btc from my Binance account to my Poloniex USDT wallet.  When I learned that I can recover my bitcoins, I opened ticket to Poloniex Support (25 days before). But still I can not get my btc back..

Just wait for them and send a regular update email. That's the only thing you can do since it's your fault. Most of the exchange don't return or response slowly on this kind of issue since this is out of there scope of responsibility. They always put a warning message to verify the token that you will sent before to proceed transaction before you copy any deposit address.

Just wait for them and send a regular update email. That's the only thing you can do since it's your fault. Thank you for your reply. Yes you are right .. But we accidentally sent bitcoin to usdt wallet not from user panel, we did transaction via api .. so we got this issue..  thanks..

there is is similar case which happened 5 years ago and from what i gathered there is good news

Poloniex managed to recover the btc but that was a long time... today these guys have warnings on making sure you sending the correct crypto coin

to the given address and all that just as @Beparanf said, otherwise I hope they will be of help to you, because this isn't an impossible task, GL !

Poloniex response to my ticket:

Thank you for getting in touch.
Please do not ever send one type of crypto currency to the address of another type of crypto currency. Mistakes like this can lead to the complete and irretrievable loss of your funds and so always be vigilant.
However in this case I am happy to inform you that I have succeeded in recovering the funds for you.
They should be credited to your account shortly.
Please let me know if you feel that there is still an issue.


I confirm that the funda are in my account now.
I'm glad my money isn't lost :-)
I guess you just need to stay put and wait for their response, goodluck.
