[Question] re Luckybit Silver Plated Coins

While doing some research into the Luckybit coins recently I stumbled across this thread:

Is it true that only 5-10 of the Silver Plated coins were sold publicly?

If so how were the other 90-95 distributed? Did they go to Luckybit players only?

I know some lucky users purchasing the rose gold also won a matching silver coin, but that only accounts for another 10 max.

These are not easy to find for sale, I am guessing many gamblers that won these coins just tossed them in a draw and forgot about them.

I can see lots of auctions for the rose gold coin shortly after the giveaway, but not many silver sales, and very rare to find in a set.

I found set #23 currently for sale on eBay, although they look a little rough:

I know the production numbers, that's easy to find out.

What i need to know was how many silver plated coins were offered for-sale to the public?
Was it really only 10 and the other 90 awarded as prizes, or was there a sales thread i can' seem to find..

Ps, you forgot to mention the 6 non plated rounds used for a test strike
From what i see 1 of those was auctioned off. I would love to see a pic of that test coin if the owner reads this

IIRC yes there were only 10 pure silver coins. As to how they were distributed- would have to speak to LuckyBit.. I will shoot a message there way, it was many years ago and I can't remember the details exactly. I was only managing the design and production of them at the time. This was 5-6 years ago, so sorry I can't give more concrete info.

I do remember there were charity auctions too.

The .999 pure silver coins are beautiful but not the same as i am inquiring about here.
As far as i remember the pure silver coins were produced for Luckybit staff, think i read that in the encyclopedia of physical bitcoins.

What i am looking for information on is, how was the majority (+80%) of the "Silver Plated" zinc alloy coins distributed? For example was the majority of silver plated coins sold to the public, or awarded as prizes?

Could LuckyBit possibly provide any numbers regarding how many (Silver Plated) coins were sold to the public? (including any charity sales/auctions)
How many were awarded as prizes to Luckybit players?

It would also be handy to know this same info above regarding the Rose Gold series of the coin.
 
@bigtimespaghetti, I have always loved these coins, they have so much fine detail and represent a huge start for bitcoin gambling. They are a great piece of the bitcoin history.
I can't remember the percentage now, but at one stage Luckybit was accounting for a huge amount of tx's on the chain per day. You could watch the flow of tx's on explorers like Blockchain.info for 2min and see heaps of bets go through.

I remember that we did a lot of strikes, we had to do some re-striking due to quality.

I can dig through emails and find the mintage quantity. But my contact at Luckybit would have the ultimate knowledge on distribution as I wrote before.

Yes correct,  this is in line with what i have discovered. The pure silver x10 for the staff, silver plated x100 for players and a couple auctioned off. Thanks for confirming.
The .999 pure silver coins were made for the Luckybit staff. They are easily distinguished by the .999 pure silver marking on the front of the coin, and are numbered from 1-10 i believe.

Any information on the Luckybit coins is interesting to read for me, but what i am really trying to get an idea of now is, "how many silver plated coins are in the hands of collectors and, how many have been lost by winners not interested in the collectors coins (very hard to account for lost coins, i know. Always easier to find what collectors have and write off the rest).
I am most interested to know how many people own matching silver and rose gold sets of these coins?

I was thinking that if the majority of these coins were only awarded as prizes and not available for public sale, a matching set in good condition would be hard to find and probably cost a bit to acquire.

I sold both my silver plated and rose gold coins, i just recieved an answer from the pure silver holder. I don't think many silver coins were sold, i can ask their ex community manager tho, ill be back.

It was and still probably is one of the coolest casinos bitcoin had. Was user since their first opening week.

I am in no big rush to sell, and it looks like these coins are quite rare. I am having a hard time finding another good condition set or even single silver plated coins for sale.

I know a bunch of the holders, no one really selling cheap or at all and most didn't sell for huge prices. Also, up to date no one showing up here.
I sold my silver and rose plated coins for .01 btc both when it was around 10k, buyer funded them and got a new holo thanks to MJ and they are refunded and held.

Not tryna fuck anyone's biz here but use escrow and be safe.

Seems no one is popping in, i'll send yet another PM to another set holder perhaps he decides .

I expected to buy myself the coins i sold and the other versions but i'm taking my time seems.
The silver coin i think we all trying to get. And i'm not sure but since it closed i think he didn't want to sell anymore, but i guess persistence would be key here.

Why not do an auction if your main concern is your selling price. Since you have a couple of the coin, you can try it to determine the market value of your coin. This is the common method here in the forum especially if there's only few sale thread recorded here in the forum. Just set a minimum bid that you can afford your token to sell at lowest price.
