The Standard Protocol - Solving Inflation

Governments can't do anything except upto a limit to regulate crypto and Bitcoin, they can't chase it till infinity because quite simply, Bitcoin is way above their league, literally, they can't control or regulate it. But the bad thing is, Bitcoin is limited and will only continue till 2130 I think, that's what gives it value but something better will replace it, so the legacy will continue till we see the end of the world I guess Grin

There are a couple of things they could do like restricting stores from accepting it. There is nothing you can do as a store owner if Government doesn't allow you to take anything for payment other than the national fiat currency.

This should not be a threat to the government, precisely with the existence of stablecoins the government must be able to innovate by creating its own digital money and must be able to compete in order to make it easier for its users by charging cheaper transaction fees.  The existence of cryptocurrency is able to provide business opportunities, the government should not prohibit or destroy stablecoins instead the government must be able to provide strong support for it

The pros and cons of Bitcoin will always be there, because many are misusing Bitcoin, that is the main reason the government cannot fully accept Bitcoin

Yes but if they create their own digital currency they can pursue every single step we do. Who wants that?

They can only force us by law to use their digital currency or they can allow for Bitcoin to be relevant and finally allow us to use that digital money on a daily basis!

I would love to see regulations that favor Bitcoin!

Alright I just finished one thread from a bloke talking about the "end of Bitcoin". I mean he asks if this is the "end" of Bitcoin because of the "great downfall", and now we have another one. Well, from the looks of it our Bitcoin thread is full of blokes who are not trusting of the cryptocurrency so they do some panic post about their FUD and maybe they are up to make weak hands of the others here as well. Well, many here have seen many "corrections" - and this is the right term, not the downfall or end of Bitcoin s*it they peddling in the forum. Please, do me a favor and sell all your Bitcoin so you can get your money back.

Bitcoin will continue to exist. The cryptocurrency market is developing rapidly, and now more and more people know and join it. Although the government does not block Bitcoin, because it is the fastest and safest anonymous transaction, many people still invest in Bitcoin.

No bitcoin cannot last until infinity, due to things like dust, dead people, lost passwords and faulty hardware. It is inevitable that the circulating supply of bitcoin will go to 0 at some point in time.

It will all be replaced by a equally distributed supply within 10 years anyways, bitcoin kinda sucks, the central bankers still win.

Bitcoin isn't going away. Because BTC is a decentralized product, consensus mechanisms provide trust, and mining provides incentives. As long as there is consensus, the BTC has value. With the development of blockchain technology in the future, it is only possible to be subverted instead of disappearing.

There will be people in the next ten years, and there will be "Bitcoin" because Bitcoin is what people desire to keep wealth and greed coexisting. Both are immortal, and "Bitcoin" will not die.

I believed that bitcoin will not last because of government policy is against bitcoin and many people is seeing bitcoin as a scam, so with such points I don't think bitcoin will stay till 2030, and if bitcoin stay till then that means it will stay till further notice.
Please am not here to criticised cryptocurrency but from the attacks government attacks crypto I think such will come in reality.

If you really think Bitcoin wouldn't last till 2030 here then you truly don't understand Bitcoin. Yes, there might be some government kick against Bitcoin, in like manner there are other government that doesn't do that and I believe with time, Bitcoin would have even wider adoption than what we know now.

Bitcoin will continue to exist as long as people know how to use the internet, or have a way to access the internet itself. That's why a world war or something like that is the worst thing that can happen to us crypto investors and enthusiasts due to the fact that wars hinder technological progress, which means there will be less support and use for the internet. this makes people think openly to invest in bitcoin and with the existence of government policies that are against bitcoin and many people see bitcoin as a fraud, both of these things will make bitcoin prices fluctuate uncontrollably.

There's government who see that way and there are also government who seen the other side.

We can't conclude what future awaits this system, Bitcoin is a good alternatives, some value is as asset while there are also businesses who start to adopt and embrace the system for payment transaction process. With wide scope of social medias Bitcoin popularity is getting bigger

those who continue to follow and support this investment opportunities are enjoying the benefits while those who continue to doubt are missing their chances.

That's what I think.

The emergence of bitcoin is deflation, which may reduce the possibility of financial crisis.

Some countries are cracking down on bitcoin, which will be affected, but will not disappear and will continue to exist.

I think bitcoin will be more and more successful. I believe it.

I also think that Bitcoin won't last until infinity. I don't think that it will happen just because governments ban it. The demand for Bitcoin should also go down to zero for this. Then, there will be no incentive left for Bitcoin to thrive or even exist.

If we are talking about time here then bitcoin won't be able to last till infinity, I mean our civilization right now is only one World War away from destroying itself so I don't have to worry about bitcoin lasting forever, just cherish the present because there's no time like the present.

But I often see governments that ban cryptocurrencies, in their country there will still be users or traders of cryptocurrencies. I think bitcoin is very strong and will survive. what makes it strong is that bitcoin introduces us to new technologies that are very good and believed to bring about change in the financial sector

I really don't see Bitcoin lasting forever, to tell the truth. But I also think that it won't stop functioning very soon also. I think it still has many years and many records to break ahead of it. But after a point, people may start losing their interest in Bitcoin completely. And that can speed up the process.

I believe as long as I'm alive BTC will still be here and may upto next generation until there is something new that will be developed that can changed it's value. It will be keep as BTC as long as there are people who hold and uses it. Generation changes as well technology so there might be new technology alike that may come.

Nothing can last till infinity. Everything has an end. Maybe after centuries bitcoin might become absurd. Better technologies will emerge that will probably replace bitcoin and other crypto currencies. Or maybe bitcoin itself might evolve to something different than it is right now to match the new system/technologies.
What policies are you talking about? I haven't heard of any policies that are "against" bitcoin. And not everyone sees bitcoin as a scam. Only those who knows nothing about crypto currencies thinks that crypto currencies are scam. And no, bitcoin won't die after 2030 lol.

It'll happen when the internet all over the world is wiped out. Then the worldwide bitcoin community will be cut off, and bitcoin will soon be abandoned. If the technology we use today is destroyed, and we can go back to an age where technology didn't exist - then that's where bitcoins were destroyed.

I personally don't think that bitcoin can last until infinity, but unlike you, i guess the main problem won't be government, but the advancement of technology instead. Government might pay one or two role that will make bitcoin vanish, however, if technology is more advanced, there might be a lot new things that we can't imagine yet, something that can replace bitcoin, and make it unnecessary anymore. However i guess it will still take a long time in the future though, not somewhere near now.
