Question about router

Since everyone is claiming that internet connection is the reason why one get stale shares and rejected shares I've decide to buy a router but I find two types, one with sim card capable and the other have no sim card, which one is better?

Whoa there nelly, hold on a second.  The reason one gets stale/reject shares may have nothing or everything to do with you.  Here some questions to ask before you jump.

1. How many and how often are you getting stale shares?  Is 1 or 2 every few minutes/hours/days/weeks?  Occasionally get a run of stale/reject is normal, the internet is just like getting stuck in traffic sometimes.  Something happens and traffic slows down. 
2. If I change mining pools do those numbers change?  Do they increase or decrease?  If they decrease, then it probably on the mining pool side, skip the getting the router.
3. Do I see issues with other internet connected devices (TV/gaming consoles/web browsing, etc)?   If so, contact your ISP/Service provider you may have a wire issue. 
4. Is my mining connection via WiFi.  Well that alone is probably a issue unto itself.  But in our daily lives WiFi congestion is a fact of life and can cause latency thus stale/rejected shares.

This is just a few things that come to mind.  So before you go spending your hard earned money, make sure that its addressing a valid issue.

If you are using WiFi hotspot for mining then it's going to worth getting a router because wifi hotspot sucks, if you are using 5G network you won't notice the difference though because it's blazing fast but 4G on wifi hotspot still brings 300 to 600MS when mining to using Router can net you 50Ms to 100MS max

I personally recommend router over others, low latency works best for mining crypto, it's why gamers and streamers choose routers to gain the fastest speed possible, any router with 150mbps will do the job well, the sim slot capable routers are the easiest to set up, just insert sim and switch on

I'm getting more rejected shares than stales, most like around 5% but the rejected shares are pretty much, for example today I get 2890 accepted shares and 67 rejected shares, is this not much?

Yes I'm using WiFi hotspot and I've read few posts on here saying it can cause shares rejection and stales but now I'm ready to buy a router, since I've not use one before I'm confused how to configure those with no sim card space

Thanks for the reply, this is the exact answer I'm looking for, using the sim on the router will work just fine and reduce latency right? That was something I wasn't sure about before

this is fine it is 2890/2957 = 97.73 percent accepted.

the most likely reason you have an issue it your clocks are too high.

If you drop you ram 5% see if the rejects go away.

this is fine it is 2890/2957 = 97.73 percent accepted.

the most likely reason you have an issue it your clocks are too high.

If you drop you ram 5% see if the rejects go away.

Exactly, I suggest trying reducing clock first before buying a wifi router, though there will be better internet connection with router but you will still get shares rejected if you OC your cards even while using Router
