Is Ethereum classic used for some interesting projects (like Ethereum)? Is that coin for someting? There was 80% movement last days..

It has been 51% attacked and many are no longer using it but only for trading purposes. I don't know apart from using it for trading, there could be others who prefer to use it for some users.
But as for trading, exchanges, where you will deposit it, are likely to require you more confirmation time that would likely take days to a week just for the deposit to be confirmed. That's why its usage became lesser today.

Speculation purpose only and no more. This coin doesn't have utility usage and it has a problem like 51% attack. Avoid to use this coin. ETC is just another garbage coin that will die as soon as possible. The movement caused by the pump by the whales and that's a common thing in the bull market. It will be going down again as soon as possible. This coin is not for something useful. |

There were/are some dapps, games and Defi on ETCs own blockchain ( https://ethereumclassic.org/ecosystem/apps-and-protocols) but they are not as popular or rather fell from spotlight when the attack and subsequent hassle in transaction and trade of ETC took place. Exchanges still requires a large number of confirmations for transacting it. ETC did rose recently but was still short of all time high it reached in 2017. |

Most of the market has rallied and might be feeling the exhaustion and if you look at the market there were some coins that did not rally like the rest of the coins the market usually goes for a correction they would simply use them as a pumo and dump tool and hence the price might move up temporally.
I have not heard about specific projects using the ETC platform.

I haven't been following the market a lot lately. Have there been recent attacks on ETC? How did that end up? ETC just doesn't have the ecosystem like ETH does. You need some critical mass in order to make it attractive for developers to build stuff for your blockchain. That, as far as I can see now, is not the case for ETC and most likely will never be the case. Is ETC still backed by any famous group or investors? |

Remember the DAO accident in the past ? That was the reason Ethereum original has been forked into ETH and ETC. I think ethereum classic can be used for building dapps too, just like ethereum, because it has smart contract as well. |

Not really and as I've observed not much discussion regarding this project and people even have already forgotten that this hardfork of ETH even exists in the first place. But some people might still use it for making transactions or remmitance and nothing more I guess since the big exchanges already listed it so I doubt the trading volume gonna go down aswell. heck, even people choose BSC over this blockchain don't expect much from it or prepare to be dissappointed in the future.

somehow for me its just a hype bull with no reason in it, its same like NANO on the a few days ago. everything getting pumped with no reason, even like BTG , can u see that ? almost 200% past 30 days.

ETC does not have a specific product to compete with ETH, ETC's ability to deploy smart contracts is still not impressive.
The growth of ETC is just shifting money from Bitcoin to altcoins like EOS, NANO, XTZ or any other altcoin increases in price.
So to me, ETC is just a mere speculative asset and I will sell it when the profit is good enough.

ETC has chance to go up once London is activated...depending what happens with ETH price at that time...quite
possible many miners decide to go ETC...another moment when ETC could get attention will be when ETH goes POS...
its still second best ethash mining coin

Ethereum Classic is very different from ethereum in my opinion Ethereum Classic is very less to invest in midterm is more suitable for longterm because it takes so long for this coin to move

I have never heard of a project using etc dude lol, in my opinion etc is like a stable coin that moves like that. I bought this coin to find cheap fees between markets, lol |

This coin has little usefulness and suffers from a 51 percent attack crisis. This coin could not be used. ETC is yet another worthless coin that will be phased out as quickly as possible. ETC simply lacks the environment that ETH does. You'll need a certain amount of critical mass to entice developers to create with your blockchain. That, as far as I can see, is not the case for ETC and will most certainly not be the case in the future.
