hello,

Just wanted to ask if there is any way to recover my password from https://my.dogechain.info/

I know the login ID, wallet address and register email, but can't remember the password. Sad Cry I haven't logged in to that wallet for about 3 years.

Can I at least brute force it with something?  Huh

I can't tell if there are any tools to help you with the process, but if you're willing to pay a 20% fee (if the amount is retrieved) then I suggest contacting WalletRecoveryServices, it appears that they support the mentioned wallet. I have used them in the past, and I can confirm that they're legit.

Everything on that site is encrypted with your password. If you lose it, the site keeps no backups of any of your personal data that can help with account recovery. What happened with the wallet file? You should have gotten a file that contains your private key. Do you have that? If you have the private key, you can regain access to your account by importing the key into a different Doge wallet.

This would depend on the strength of the password used; for very weak passwords you could be able to bruteforce into the wallet and it should also be fairly easy to memorize. But with very strong combinations, brute force would not be that effective, you can try the service suggested by OmegaStarScream if no other alternative works as you have less to loss (20%).

You can try to ask for a forgot password in the site if you remember all the important credentials. Or do what @OmegaStarScream's advice, use that recovery service although I am not familiar with it and at the same time didn't know that such service exist as a legitimate one because most of the time, recovery scams are a known and prevalent case in this forum.

Now it's more like a waiting game, until they reply you back there isn't anything you can do here, next time don't use any wallets that gives no recovery seed or private keys to you and if they do give you learn to keep them very safe because this is 100% the only way to get your funds back easily, I hope you've learned

IIRC they take less than 24 hours to answer emails, cracking/brute-forcing obviously takes more time. If you want them to start as soon as possible, you can send them an email with all the required info (wallet file, passwords that you usually use, the complexity, etc.)

Try to click "forgot password" if it's possible . Since you still have the registered email on that site probably it will send a notification how you can recover your wallet.. Or contact the support as its the main way where you can send reports immediately regarding to your concern.. Actually in my own opinion even you don't contact them, what i mean just try the basic way using your email for recovery because support sometimes didn't correspond immediately.. Perhaps it will work smoothly..

Answer from block.io

Dear Dogechain.info User,

Dogechain.info allows users to create self-custody wallets, and the only user information retained by Dogechain.info is the email address associated with the relevant user account.  We do not retain any user’s private keys or have access to any user’s Dogechain Wallets.  This email address is not intended for any technical support requests and we would like to remind you that Dogechain.info’s services are provided “as-is” with no representations, warranties, or customer service.  Please review our User Agreement at dogechain.info/terms if you have any questions.  As a reminder, our User Agreement requires you to retain backups of your private keys.

To address the most common support issues faced by users:

I'm having trouble logging in to my Dogechain wallet.

Please ensure you are using the correct wallet ID and password. Your password is the only thing that can decrypt your wallet, and Dogechain has no information about what is inside a user's wallet.

If you still are unable to access your wallet via Dogechain.info, you will want to use your private keys directly elsewhere.

You can always use the latest private keys you backed up when you created your wallet address(es). Your private keys allow you to access your coins using any Dogecoin wallet software. We recommend using the Dogecoin Core software directly at github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin.

Will Dogechain disable two-factor authentication on a given wallet?

No. Two-factor authentication is the only way Dogechain can verify your ownership of your account and wallet, and therefore we cannot disable two-factor authentication.

I lost my private keys. Can Dogechain help?

No. Dogechain does not have knowledge of any wallet's private keys.

My coins moved without my permission. Help!

Dogechain.info has no control over user coins as Dogechain.info has no access to your private keys. If your coins have moved, it is because either you moved them, or someone else has access to your private keys. The latter can happen for instance if you've installed malicious software on your computer, such as browser extensions that are intended to steal your information, or entered your account information (wallet ID, password, two-factor codes, etc.) on a phishing site, etc.

To be clear, Dogechain.info does not know what is inside any user's wallet, as we simply provide an interface to interact with the Dogecoin blockchain.
