Confused- Should I report it as off topic or not

In our local thread, one user posted about ongoing issue with ESL (European Super League).
In the local thread, we usually discuss about crypto. So, based on that perspective, this is offtopic.

However, in the gambling discussion section, there are few threads in which people discussing about the same. From that perspective, this is not an offtopic post.
What do you think?

I could simply report the post and explain in report note but I have created this thread to share that discussion in a single thread is impossible and a separate board is very much needed.

I read the post with rough translation of Google Translate.

The post didn't discuss anything crypto-related. I guess it would still be okay if it was BSL discussion not ESL, but since the usual discussion there in the thread are crypto-related like you mentioned, I would still report as that would categorize in a different board.

You will have to do as you feel. As it tells on the reporting page, you should not worry too much about the accuracy.
The mod will then decide. From what you write here, the topic could deserve to be moved to gambling discussion.

I went through the first page of your local language thread and couldn't find any local rules applying to it, some of the local boards and most of the local threads lack proper moderators assigned by the admins, and if global mods are to take actions, they would likely be wrong according to the rules stated by the op and decided upon by the local community.

If there are no well defined rule on which topic is allowed in the thread, you can go ahead and make your report, the mod would use their discretion to act on it.

As already note by the above user there are no certain rules in your local board that's against it but if you believe it worth reporting it as off-topic do so and the forum global moderator will look into it and make the required decision but I can tell you that people are likely to diving into various subject or topic on the local board.

Since the post is in your local language then the post can't be moved anywhere. And I guess the post should be okay to there because you don't have a specific boards to create multiple threads so someone from your locale who is not good at English can't post it anywhere so I will go with the freedom of speech unless the post is completely spam.

I read it too and there isn't specific rules there pertaining to what should be discussed specifically and I think as they don't have any separate board yet I guess that's still allowed and I guess the post wasn't a low quality. You may report it to the mods or you could even ask the OP @BitcoinDream regarding the post since the user was still active on your local board AFAIK.

Yeah, then it's a bit more complicated, since you have one big topic for your language and that's all. Since I've ignored that area many years ago, I forgot that's like this.
One options is to be a bit more permissive and give that post as example while asking for a proper board (not just a thread) for your own language.
...And reporting it is still not a bad choice; mod will have to think and decide.

You should open a topic where you would demand an off-topic or Others section on your local thread. In that way, they can still talk about such things but would not affect the actual section for the crypto related topics. Some topics can also be correlated to crypto such as "how does the ESL affect our crypto" yada yada. Therefore, it isn't really an off-topic per se, but rather a topic which can be correlated to the cryptospace.(somehow)

I think if you want to report something, go for it.  The moderators will either agree with you or not agree with you.  There's no penalty for reporting posts that the moderators disagree with being outside the rules.  So long as you don't care if your reporting accuracy drops below 100% if the report is denied, there's no harm done.  I don't even think others have a way to check this % (I'm still waiting on those reporting badges) although it would be fascinating to see the %'s of some I suspect go around and report all the posts of those they don't like personally.  Maybe posting these %'s publicly would have the abusers feeling shame and attempt to correct this behavior...
