Some of them have insider most likely. Like for example, a shitty coin is soon to be marketed or promoted by shillers and famous influencers, some of those guys have already bags during the price is still cheap and they will keep pushing through social media post to drive the price high. You can noticed if the hike is organic or just a fomo shill and bought by those who got attracted, but sometime fomoing isn't bad as I experience some pretty good gains doing that.

Either these people are part of pump groups, trading groups, crypto groups, or just everyday lurking in the crypto world, etc. But honestly, others really don't know that a certain coin will be pump but just looking at the community's response on that coin. If they see a hype building on that coin, then they will consider risking money to it and will do everything to make the best profit at a right time.

Since you are new to this altcoin thing, then focus on those well-established for now. It's not easy to ride a coin's hype trend for starters.

The most difficult task to be done by anyone. I think that there's no accurate information about how you can know which coin that will be pumped. You must buy coin that was getting hyped but it's not yet traded on the exchange site. This is the possible thing that you can do to avoid the big risk with your money.
The pumpers will always try to pump the hyped coins.
You must know which hyped coin that already talked in the community

It is not success, it is called paid pump and dump and you will never be able to catch those and make profit. In reality no retail trader is actually able to do that.

What happens is that some shitcoins out there get promoted by media influencers on social media and the price rises like anything without any inherent reason behind them. This is done by the influencers to make money off the market and sell that shitcoin to the members who are only brainwashed into buying it.

If you have been holding that coin from beforehand, that would be the best point to sell and NOT buy. Because once the price stops rising, the ones who promoted it, will sell their share of coins and make the money while the one who were brainwashed to buy it, are now stuck with piles of that shitcoin ranged at a price lower than the buying price.

Do your due diligence from this, I am not making this up, it is what happens with many altcoins everyday. If you want to make money you have to focus on bitcoin and buy at low prices. FOMO is the thing to avoid, FUD is the time to buy, that too bitcoin, not altcoins.

Yeah! I can vouch for that, however, taking advantage of their prices going up requires you to have a good grasp of risk management, some research, and a money that you can freely play without worrying too much on losing them.
As for OP, From what I have experienced though, a "degen" type of trading could somehow play an important role when you have decided to invest in such projects. It basically is a type of trading strategy that aims for a quick gains. Currently, you can apply these to projects such as BSC farming tokens. The gist is you are going to buy a certain amount of token and then quickly exit if you've reach a point where your initial capital have been multiplied.

More importantly, choosing which alts/token to invest on has something to do with fundamental analysis and shilling of rumors in the community.

Yeah that's the thing. You are risking higher but like what others said. High risk high reward, sometime its works sometime its not. I know a lot of people doing this and I can see their fortune are really something incredible but of course for the sake of being safe from faults and scams then we must be a little bit sensitive about investment cause money is not that hard to acquire.

Yes picking a coin or token to invest with is also crucial regardless its degen or not. It must be equipped with feature or else you are investing on a failed subject again.

The success of this altcoin is due to the influence of the success of bitcoin that has passed ATH, so if you buy altcoins at this point in my opinion it is not right because many altcoins have been pumped very high at this time. so you better wait for the bearish trend to come and the price of bitcoin and altcoin to be cheap, it's better to wait than we buy at the highest price

What you are trying is nearly impossible. Catching what you call "a pump" is extremely difficult and you are probably blinded by the "after the fact" knowledge. It not only happens to you and it does not only happen with Alts. Many people got in bitcoin and dumped from 18k to 3k simply because they wanted to catch a pump... after the pump

All these altcoins have their own channels and social media accounts, you can get news of the coming pump if you are a member of these channels or you follower of the altcoins, there's risk involved in these pumps and dump coins so if you are going to participate be sure you know what you are dealing and you are fast to take action when the pumps shifted to dumps.

No clue what will be the coins that would pump so that you will buy them. You have to choose based on what you're thinking on the market and which altcoins are going to be tough and will have their own pump. Basically, you go with the news and also watchful to the market and be aware what are those who are having their pumps. You need to actively check them from time to time and if you see some slight going up, you need to decide whether to buy or not.

Almost many coins are just purely out of pump and dump schemes and almost little to nothing gets in for the longer term.
About the social media influencers, that is another thing that hurts the crypto space.
Those people that are just purely celebrity-driven investors. One would be when Elon Musk hyped Dogecoin a lot.

Just do your assignment, check every news that's coming check if these are fake or real news be active in the speculation section and the altcoin section, some members will give a hint on what coins have a good potential for a pump, but you must differentiate of these are all shills or it is coming because of the support it's getting from investors.

Generally speaking, there is no way to know exactly when a pump in the price of some coin will occur unless you know something that no one else (or at least most people) knows.

There are all sorts of signs of this, but you can almost never catch them before the pump happens.

You need to stay away from any pump and dump project because it's easier to get trap in them, they create FOMO by pumping and when people start investing they have already take out their profits, the rest will be the ones at loss

You take a risk and calculate it. There is a big possibility we are closing the end of the bull run.
It is all the same as last time. Altcoins are pumping and Bitcoin is losing in price and dominance.

It won't be long before this market collapses, and if you study it closer you will notice the signs.
It is possible that it all ends in a month or even less.
So take your chances if you want to, you could make some good money, but you can also lose everything.

Actually need more experience about crypto market for better understanding when coin will pump or dump. Also full altcoin's price depends of Bitcoin price, when Bitcoin price is more Down then all Crypto market is crashed when Bitcoin price is stable then it is good for Market.

most of the users don't also know. but what I can guarantee is that you buy now and wait. or you can check the chart that if the price had dip low in the 4hour/24hour chart then you know it will also pump after. you whoever will still have to look again and see that you will still have to wait because the pump will likely happen tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. it's all still waiting. in other words, holding is the key.
