I went to market with my wife to buy things for our new born baby, after my wife selected baby things that Worth thousands and I paid with my btc,the transaction was very easy and faster. When  we returned home ,she asked if you die can I achieved your btc or continued with your account? Because it's very easy and faster in trading and transaction.

You can browse this forum for the threads that cover the creation of secure paper wallets (air-gapped computer) and then create your own paper wallets. Then take the Private key that are generated and split it into 3 pieces (Example 3Cb57  5gRC1 rHRs3H) and give her one of the pieces.

Now you take the two other pieces and give one to a trusted beneficiaries and one goes to your lawyer with your will. When you die, the beneficiaries have to come together to put the Private key together, for them to access your coins.  Wink

Teach them how to sweep Private keys to wallets now, to prepare them for when they have to do it when you die.  Wink

That is a very thoughtful thing to do for your family. Its also much better to teach them how to use or even earn within the Cryptocurrency Industry. Its really nice to know that we are living in an age in which we can transition completely with cashless payments especially with the rate of the adoption currently happening. Having to live in a world that digital money and physical money coexisting is such a great idea since people living in places with no technology can still continue their normal daily lives with the use of traditional money.

Good topic. It might sound odd or dark but it's important thing. You can save data of your wallet and sign her in bequest to pass it to her. I think it's one of the safest ways.

so maybe I would advise you to keep most of it in a hardware wallet. then you can use an exchange like binance for small scale storage, this is useful for you to go shopping or anything that uses btc payments you can only do it by scanning a QR code. it is very easy and you can also store your btc safely

the transaction was very easy and faster

Although the overall idea of the topic sounds legit, I'm not convinced about this part. These days everybody complain about high fees and slow transactions and you tell about easy and fast, a bit strange...

On the overall topic it's simple. Share private key/seed/hardware wallet with the loved one if you trust her enough with that and problem solved. Also tell her where you keep the backup private key or seed.

Huh hmm.... Why would she ask you that question? That's weird.... but probably you could because if she knows your private key she should be able to access to your account.
Bible made it know that husband and wife are one, so what ever you have belongs to your wife, using myself as a case study, base on the question I have to realized that our wife have to know the basics knowledge of cryptocurrency in case of death occurrence in human life, and if death occur she can take care of the family with your Bitcoin investment, to make the life suitable for our kids, so that should one of the reason while we should not hide our coins for our wife.

People don't talk about this topic often as much as it should. Death is inevitable and we will all go to the other side one day. It makes proper sense to write a will and declare your assets to your beneficiaries. The same applies to Bitcoin, you can use a bitcoin ledger, share your private keys with your beneficiary. But here also comes the issue of trust. But then this is something you have to do
Else it will stay forever on your wallet, lost from the rest of the world like the lost city of El dorado.

I am curious with what you say to your wife.

You can explain that as long as you tell her about your private keys and everything about your bitcoin in your wallet, she can use it easily as you without a problem. If she does not know much about bitcoin, you can teach her the basic thing about bitcoin and how to use the wallet, including how to send and receive bitcoin. By doing that, you can delegate your bitcoin and your wallet before something worst and who knows, she can use your bitcoin better for her life and your child.

Sure, you then made a payment with a bitcoin wallet stored on your phone to scan the bitcoin wallet code for that process.  Bitcoin has no inheritance for the next generation whether it's your wife or kids.  But a private wallet, blockchain for example, installed on your phone is possible, and trying to do it before you die is to leave your wife the assets you have Smiley) Lol

Anybody can access your bitcoin after you pass away so far you have given them the necessary information and learnings before the passing over. Example like your seed, passwords, 2FA procedure and all sort

I reveal this question as bizarre as the others. The wife unexpectedly asked why such a dilemma! It doesn't even touch upon whether the person is sick or not, so I uncover it weird. If it is known that the man is sick or will die in a limited number of days, then it would be reasonable to tell the wife everything about Bitcoin. Then it will be susceptible for the wife to consume it.

Because it's very easy and faster in trading and transaction.
As you said the Bitcoin transaction process is easy if you teach it all to your wife.

The important thing is from an early age you have to start to trust your wife and try to honestly say all the assets you have to your wife, this actually does not only happen to other crypto assets but the same thing, trust each other.

This question is one everyone doesn't want to answer because we do not think we are going to die soon. The only way to pass your bitcoin to someone else if such coins are in a custodial wallet and not in an exchange wallet. That's not all though, the recipient of the coins must also have the seed phrase. With the seed phrase, anybody can recover the funds in a wallet.
The issue, however, is that of trust. Many people have fallen victim to getting their coins stolen just because they gave their seed phrase to someone who took their coins even before their death.
I believe the seed praise should be given to only trusted people who can't rob you.

Write a will and it contains the contents of your cryptocurrency. Don't worry too much about someone stealing your crypto because it's unlikely, it'll stay in your wallet forever if you don't tell anyone about it.
I used to worry about your worries, maybe now I should have a plan for myself.

Actually letting them know about bitcoin or the keys, the passwords of any of your wallets be it digital or hardware wallet are not really enough if she doesn't know how to use it. So better than letting them know, leaving them the hints, the keys start teaching her the basics of crypto like how to use this tools, how to open the apps simply the basics. Having bitcoin for me was more than being lucky and worth it to have and very valuable.

Just give her your private key, or maybe account that held your BTC and train them how to use it and everything will be OK. I think that is what i will do in future, because if i died suddenly and no one can claim my BTC, so it means it will be gone forever becaus my closest family which is my mom not really good into technologies.

Its an important topic and shouldn’t be ignore. As a Bitcoin and Altcoin holder I keep all my private keys and passwords in a notebook so that when the time comes that I need to pass it on my holdings it will be easy for them, I also educated my wife about crypto from basic to advance so that she will know how it works.

I know, but this seems to contradict the features that make the bitcoin brand - private, peer, and free!  In that case, let your wife know or send your bitcoin savings and create a wallet and show her how to use it.  That will help each other to understand bitcoin and maybe your children will also have rich properties in the future Smiley)

This is something I wanna do to. Even if only to ease the burden of my passing. Burning a corpse to ashes takes about $1000 in the US and then they'll need to fix up my room and clean up my mess.

So.... Well. Yeah. But I don't even have a last will and testament or whatever. I need to get on it. Doggone it.

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

You could share the private key of your address with your wife and both of you could have the same address on different wallets. Or if you have an app or online wallet you could give her access to it.

The problem is the security, if both of you have the private keys and the wallet gets hacked, will be hard to know who was the target.
