Will I be able to add a separate bitcoin account on ledger live?  I know that you can add another nano device, but I am talking about just another bitcoin account with a separate address attached to the same ledger live and wallet.  I have the nano x.

If so, how is it done and can I do this with other cryptos? Thanks.

Yes. You can do this by going into Ledger Live and pushing the "Add Account" button or changing the derivation path in Electrum.

If you want to generate a completely different set of accounts, you can also go to Settings -> Security -> Passphrase on your Ledger and add a passphrase to your seed.

Yes you can have multiple bitcoin accounts with ledger live app and it can be generated from same recovery phrase or you can also create multiple accounts from different recovery phrases.
First you need to have installed Bitcoin app and then just click Add account with your ledger wallet connected and the label your accounts any way you want.
You can also remove accounts at any time but it's very important to keep your recovery phrase safe.

Here is tutorial from ledger website for adding accounts:

I also create several wallets in Ledger Live, but it is important to know that when interacting with smart contracts (for Ethereum, Tron and similar wallets), only the first address will be active.
And what will happen after restoring the seed phrase on another ledger and installing the ledger live on another PC? Will I be able to see all the created wallets with a balance, or will the main ones appear first, while others will need to be added manually?

Oh ok thanks, i see how to add the account now.  Thats great!  When you say you can also create multiple accounts from "different" recovery phrases, you mean adding a separate wallet, correct?

When you set up your Ledger, you've written down a set of words called the "Recovery Phrase" or the "Seed". By resetting the Ledger and generating another set of words, you'd be able to switch to a completely different set of accounts and keys.

You can use a new seed or import seed from another wallet and generate multiple accounts. Of course, the wallets from different seeds cannot appear together.

Here's how to create a new seed or restore using a seed from another wallet:

One thing to note... Ledger Live will only let you create 1 "empty" account... so if you have "Bitcoin Account #1" with a positive balance and/or history... and then create "Bitcoin Account #2", but it is "unused"... you will not be able to create a "Bitcoin Account #3"

I believe the reason for this is so they could set the "account" level "gap-limit" to 1... so that during a restore, it will only ever lookup 1 extra "account" for history before giving up.

Note that Electrum does not have this restriction, you'll be able to create as many "accounts" as you like by simply modifying the derivation path during wallet setup and specifying wallet "account" value you like.
