Loma totally outclassed Nakatani. Before that fight, I did not even know who Nakanati was, and it turned out he has 20-1 record. Where did he get all that 20 wins, if he was outclassed so much by Lomachenko?
You should look at all the fights Lomachenko had in his career and he always outclass his opponents and many consider him as the greatest boxer of all time irrespective of weight divisions and in his last fight he was slow against Lopez and now he had the surgery and is back in form and that is what is displayed for everyone to see.

I am familiar with Lomachenko, I know how he boxes. I was just amazed to see (again) the difference in skill between him and Nakanati. Nakanati had a good record, and I thought he would show a good competition against Loma. But miracle did not happen.
As people wrote above, Nakanati had a close fight against Lopez. I've expected to see same in this fight, but Lomachenko was simply way better.

Check out Nakatani vs Teofimo Lopez fight in youtube. Or Nakatani vs Felix Verdejo. You will see that Nakatani is a good fighter. He lost to Lopez by decision, but it was really close and we could say that Nakatani gave Lopez a hard fight. Event the father of Lopez admitted that after that fight. Loma was just above, talent wise and we did see it in this fight. A highly rank boxer, he just dismantled him, with his footwork speed and left hands.

No doubts that he finished  this fight with high degree of skills and talents, Loma show that high edge and really build his name above, This opportunity brings him to have more  expected quality fights.

Too early to call with the rematch but no doubts after Lopez finished his incoming fight then the time of talking between the camp will more likely to happened.

give the rematch and see who's going to stand out and win, for the fans and for each fighters glory!

I think that these pro boxers can probably get through even though they are dehydrated in a fight, I think that they have been trained to perform under that circumstances.
For sure, I said "dehydrated boxer" in a good way, it means Lopez can suppress his actual weight until the weigh-in. After the event he will get insta-buff and box like a welterweight boxer. It's a well-known strategy especially for young boxer who can recover pretty fast from dehydration. This ability will diminish when he is getting older, but it will happen long after Loma retired.

Final conclusion before I locked the thread:

Lomachenko is back, he might not choose the best boxer in his comeback, although myself believed that Nakatani is a good opponent, but the skills levels are very different.

We just hope to see Lomachenko vs Lopez rematch in 2022. Smiley
