What happened: Another fake exchange in a list of fake exchanges I am coming across. They use the same templet as the ones I reported earlier (MoonLiteX, Bitraced). This one is contacting people through discord and offering rewards but as with before, you have to deposit a certain amount to get much more in return.

I am very familiar with the old scam trick, first it started with online casinos through fake bonuses and after sometime they moved to exchanges. They keep jumping from one cheap domain to another and It's sad that I have seen a handful of greedy people fall for the obvious scam.
There used to be a thread where we would update fake casino bonus or exchange scam links, but I am not able to locate it right now.

I filed a recovery claim with a cyber security representative because the attorneys did not handle it well as it is an internet situation after i lost $40,000 to this investment scam platform....

with referral from a colleague I was fortunate enough to get back all of my $ 40,000 invested through a group of cyber agents called Hackloop

You can also share your story how much have you lost to hackloop via email

Nice try, nobody here is going to fall for your scam attempt though. We do see such scam crypto or investment recovery services come up here now and then with the same storyline. Try to be creative.

For anyone with a small bit of trading experience will know how much of their UI is ripped off Binance. An instant red flag! You can open up their Terms of Use Page and compare it with Binance's Term page and see the similarities.

I will never take any exchange seriously if their way to present themselves is by stealing another famous exchange's theme.

LOL, you have have got to be kidding me, cyber agents lol. What, they are capable of hacking the blockchain and getting your money back? What a weak scam attempt, pathetic really. There you go, you got another tag now.

Unfortunately, those that are their target audience won't even realize small details like that, similarity to Binance, as anyone with some trading experience will see through this. Lucky for scammers, there is constant influx of brand new people coming to crypto that are completely unaware of all the dangers that lie ahead.

LoL, it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard  Grin I wonder if someone would be foolish enough to be fooled by such clichéd words.

Only a handful of people are patient enough to find out if a platform is safe to join. Even those already familiar with this market can be fooled, but in wiser ways. 3 years ago, I was scammed once by a fake exchange, the domain name is quite similar to the official domain name, they copied the entire interface of the official website, and I was subjective when depositing money there. But at least, it's a clever scam, not this scam

Do you think it's a clever scam? That is the most known, most common, and the oldest scam called "Phishing". Phishing scams are easily detected most of the time by the browser, anti-virus, and even users if you're a little considerate about the domains you open.

However, scams like the one mentioned in the thread are only revealed after they scam a number of victims and therefore are more prone to cause more damage.

Well, I can't agree that such scams are exposed only after they scam their victims. Several members are reporting new websites (domains), such as this one, only a few days after they appear in public in a thread started by dkbit98:
[SCAM] Avrobit exchange (and all yellow clones) Alert

True, there's nothing clever or inventive about this. Such scams have been around for a while. It involves someone creating a clone of the old WhiteBit exchange interface and registering new domains in order to lure victims with false balances on a non-existent exchange.

@TheNineClub, I recommend that you report all new domains that you come across there; there is no need to create a separate scam reports. There are literally over a hundred already reported domains; imagine how much it would clutter up the forum if every single one of them was reported separately.

This is true, but unfortunately for various reasons a lot of people are not going to know to compare it to Binance or any other exchange's website--and that's what these scammers are counting on.  They don't need to keep their scam in business for a long time, nor scam millions of suckers.  They only need a couple large-value scams in order to make it worth their while.

It's got to be tough for newbies who don't know any better and are just looking for an exchange.  They come across one with a slick website like this one (NexonBTC) and don't realize it's a complete scam.  If you're a newbie reading this, do some research before picking an exchange and generally stick to the bigger ones like Binance, Coinbase, and even Kucoin.  The smaller ones are questionable, and brand new ones like this scam site are downright dangerous.
