The superbeing and the greatest inventor the world ever known Satoshi Nakamoto disappears from the surface of the earth on this day 26 April ten years ago, but his legacy remains, Satoshi was seen as human but to me Satoshi never existed, he was never seen, you need to exist to disappeared, he never really disappeared he became part of his invention, he live in the  blockchain, he became Bitcoin, he is everywhere. The fact that he disappeared and has never been heard from again makes him a legend that gives rise to all kinds of speculation. I wonder what happened to his bitcoins and what I think is that 1) he lost the keys or died 2) he was someone who was not very greedy or did not need the money and that is why he left them untouched, possibly even destroyed the keys.

What is clear is that the fact that we know almost nothing is going to continue to give rise to a lot of speculation for years to come.

I read an extensive article on the matter yesterday which I found rather interesting:

The article is packed with reference links where one can expand and/or see the source of the information (some of which are logically Bitcointalk posts). What caught my attention was how the relations amongst the people involved or that pivoted around the development were not necessarily sweet, and how criticism arose around certain key elements. Worth the read.

Satoshi did the only right thing he could do, he moved Bitcoin away from any connection to one man (himself), because he knew that was the only way his project would succeed. In his email to Mike Hearn he clearly says “I’ve moved on to other things. It’s in good hands with Gavin and everyone.”

Reading the correspondence between Satoshi and Gavin, it can be concluded that Gavin was not very satisfied with the way the project developed. It may not mean anything, but even then some people didn't like the fact that Satoshi was the one who actually had the last word on everything. In a way, Satoshi left the whole project to them, and some were certainly not too sad about it.

It would end up with all of the possible speculations that an individual can think of.

The most important thing is his/their creation keeps on moving and making its name big and reowned. That's why those people who keeps on claiming that they're satoshi, they'll never stop but can't prove themselves.

Actually some glimpse or hint like that can let us believe that he is Satoshi. But the fact that Satoshi had his own account different from Hal Finney is another evidence that they are different entity.

satoshi wanted to be anonymous at beginning so it will be not logical if think that he disclosed his identity through the Hal account and first Bitcoin transaction between satoshi and Hal Finney.

For genius and anonymous obsessive person like Satoshi, I believe he/she/group will keep up the plan and always try to being anonymous. It is good for the world to know the real identity of Hal Finney but sadly he was gone years ago.

They succeeded on doing that so far. As there is no lead to to Satoshi existence. As much as I wanted to know his identity of course everybody does! Who wouldn't wanted to know the guy/group make a one time innovation that will shape the future. Hal Finney will always be in the crypto community. His memories will never be forgotten. I wish he stay longer to guide and shape the bitcoin community.

I heard those lines from Don Tapscott where he said the greatest technology that will actually overshadow the rest of the technology invented today like Robotics and AI is blockchain and indeed Satoshi made those technologies a bit ignored for a while.

Another proof that a suit doesn't actually make a man - because if he really knew who Satoshi was, a person like him wouldn't be able to stand it without saying it. The only Satoshi who can appear in public is the Faketoshi (CW), everything else is just an illusion in the minds of barking old men like Dan Pena who will soon have trouble remembering his name, let alone anything else.

May be satoshi is still around and reading this post. It's the biggest mystery of 21st century.

Maybe it is, but it could also be so that if Satoshi was publicly known, we would not have had the freedom of speech and free trade to the extent that we have it at the moment. Perhaps my words may seem too veiled to you, but honestly speaking, I cannot imagine the massive adoption of Bitcoin if it had a public "shepherd".

And frankly, I disagree with your statement regarding the mystery of the century. The thing is that, one way or another, there are still those who partly have information that could violate Satoshi's confidentiality, and I'm almost sure that this information is only temporarily hidden, (and the removal of one of the first threads is a confirmation of this).
