joking aside it could be the reason but trying to inflate a material's price has been a common practice and I am not surprised to see things like this. what's even more disgusting is that the government doesn't really take actions on things like this or it is just that I missed the news of them doing something about it

Since this 'lumber yard' is only 3/8 mile long, and far narrower... that's not really a lot of lumber. The BIG point is, is this the only one? Or are there many of them, hidden off in the woods somewhere?

I don't criss-cross the wilderness in my travels. I could easily have missed them, or thought nothing of them when I DID see them.

The lumber often comes from Canada. So, these 'depots' could range throughout Canada, as well as the USA.
