Though no official statement from the camp of Pacman but this news is close to reality as it comes from an individual who is close to Manny and that is no other than his business manager Arnold Vegafria.

Many fight fans might be disappointed with this breaking news but this might be the one healthy fight for the Pacman himself as he is not force to bring the best Manny Pacquaio in this fight if push though.

Let's put that India case differently here. The Pacquaio/Crawford wasn't suspended as in the first place there's no agreement made. Covid is also not the reason why the fight might not happen.

It's not about the Covid. That's even the reason why it was Abu Dhabi or Dubai was chosen as the preferred location because of how they handle the pandemic there and UAE is one of the best countries that can generate good revenue outside the USA.

The reason for this failed agreement is Abu Dhabi investors. They play a big role in that fight to happen. If no funding were made, then the match isn't possible to proceed.

So no Pacquaio vs Crawford, perhaps there was no really big funds for this fight because of the pandemic. In any case, vs Garcia, it will still be a good fight though. Lucky Mikey, he is the one who won the Manny sweepstakes.

But I don't think he has the tools to beat Manny even at his age. His punch at 147 lbs doesn't have a sting because we all know that he is just a ballooned welterweight. I'm seeing Manny knocking out Garcia with brutal left.

It'll be hard for any fight to be locked for Pacquiao during these times, not unless the opponent would be Mayweather (which we know will never happen), then the money will talk for itself and Dubai would surely agree.

The fight against Mikey Garcia is not really something that's gonna get a lot of views even though Pacquiao is in the ring. It's just like a filler arc in a movie/tv series that happens but isn't really significant at all. No disrespect to Mikey Garcia but he just doesn't have the appeal to be matched against Pacquiao and generate those PPV sales.

Yes, his record is impressive, but I would say that he is not a true welterweight, he fought Spence Jr and lost and then go for a B level fighter in Jessie Vargas and won at 147 lbs. So I don't know how can he upset Manny, I guess the Garcia's has a knack on Manny as they have wanted to really beat him. His brother and trainer Robert, has fighters who lost to Manny, Rios and Margarito. And now he want's his brother now to take the cape and go for a third time to beat Pacquiao. And I think they will fail again.

IIRC, this was the guy who really want to challenge Manny Pacquiao. Well, if this is going to be given by the said date, Manny can't find any other challenger and we've thought that it's going to be Crawford.

But if that's no longer able to be pushed then Manny has no choice but to agree and fight this guy. But honestly, I'd like to watch Crawford fight him than this guy.

The UAE compromises a few different states, like you have the four nations of the UK. Each emirate within the UAE are effectively competing with the others, so it investors from Abu Dhabi are unlikely to be funding a fight in Dubai. That being said, Dubai Sheikhs have a lot of money too and love to throw it at tourism boosting entertainment like boxing matches/music events/expos. They have suffered greatly during the pandemic with few visitors, but I believe that the UAE is leading the world in high vaccination rates and would love to get that tourist money flowing again. They definitely have the infrastructure to support it.

The difference here i think is the amount of funds involve. The proposed Manny vs Crawford fight seems to warrant a huge amount, imagined allotting $50 million of guaranteed purse alone for both boxers and we all know that Bob Arum will also grab his share of the pie.

I've read some articles from Filipino boxing analyst, as long as possible Manny don't want Bob Arum to be involve in his fight anymore so that may be the reason why he is taunting Bob by asking $40 million to fight Terrence but their original plan since the beginning was to fight Mikey Garcia.

This is apparently the safer option for the Pacquiao camp if the anticipated Crawford-Pacquiao match is already considered dead. The latter is definitely a more exciting match, of course, and more profitable as well, I'd say. Pacquiao-Garcia is definitely not as interesting as the cancelled Crawford-Pacquiao.

If this pushes through, Pacquiao is not facing a risky opponent as Crawford. Garcia's KO record is an old one. Pacquiao could easily outbox him and win the fight by UD.

He was demanding a guaranteed payment of $40,000,000 but the organizers were offering much less. So what made the difference with this fight? Has Pacquiao agreed for a lower amount, or has the organizers offered him what he wanted? Since the statement came from Arnold Vegafria (Pacquiao's manager), I think this news is closer to reality.

I have not seen this being reported by more mainstream news outlets but it very well could be true. Mikey Garcia was the most obvious choice if the fight with Crawford could not be made. Errol Spence could also be an option but I think Pacquiao would want a similar purse to what he was asking against Crawford so you would run into the same problem of finding investors willing to fund it. Pacquiao will not make as much money against Garcia but it is a much easier fight for him.

I guess it's because that fight was worth more, compared to this one in their eyes? Hence why Manny agreed, since his price is definitely lower compared to the one with Crawford. I'd agree with the others, a Pacquiao vs Crawford fight seems to be much more interesting and worth much more, but as you said, the organizers for the other side failed in the negotiations hence why it was most likely canceled.

Still, a relatively safe option for the side of Pacquiao. It definitely won't bring as much hype as the Crawford one, but it almost guarantees that Pacquiao has a higher chance of winning than Mikey.

Actually what we are having now is an obvious bargaining or Survey if whom will attract more support from the public towards who will be the opponent of Manny Pacqiuao .
We have seen how the people now are not that huge interested in Boxing like what we had before ,specially when pandemic happens that Live watching is being prohibits .
So now the management and the promoter are doing their best on how to attract people again so there are still no confirmation about the next big fight for Manny.
