You just don't have to give up it's hurting after holding to a token for a long period of time only to find out it has been swapped to a different token. I still believe as an investor you would still do more investments but this time sticking to coin with reasonable projects would be the best idea so you can probably stay on the profiting end. That's right, usually the exchanges that we hold the coin on makes announcements on their platform, as happened in the case of pundi x, I got information from the Indodax exchange

If you invest on something you must keep in touch with that project, atleast you check the telegram in every week. Thats why i prefer to invest in big coin with good product, which is like eth, bnb, dot and many others top coin.

a person will not tell the truth if he intends to commit a fraud, neither is a project. although we keep in touch with them both by telegram and actively checking their website. In my opinion, to avoid that kind of investment it is better to invest in guaranteed altcoins. by doing this the risk will be smaller

Some projects are good for short term only so you need to keep monitoring your portfolio, when there is no progress you might need to switch to another coin or token and also whenever a new upgrade is available you may need to do some swap,  it's a lesson

Very sad, I think there would be any method to swap old coins to new coins. Ask from their team they will surely give you any method or will help you to retrieve your money back. I hope you will get your money.

actually because you don't see any information or updates about the 2 projects, so you are late and don't have time to swap, but thank you for the information, hopefully it can help others remember or always see updates from the coins they hold, for example there are events, listings, mainnet, swap contract, migration and others.

it is very unfortunate, if there is no solution for the token holders mentioned above, but it is true that if you want to invest long-term, you must follow the token development, I also recently lost my token, because it did not follow developments when I saw high prices in my wallet,  i send one of the exchanges. and for 3 days the deposite didn't enter the exchange after I joined the group it turned out that they replaced the token with a new version

Holding coins and tokens and not looking back until you start hearing how big crypto market is will leave you in a very bad mood, I'm sure this must have happened to some people here as well, this is my new sad story, I have some moozicore and nxps in holding and I just heard that they swapped to new coins leaving my tokens useless

That is why you really need to still give some time to read and be updated to every important news and updates regarding your hodlings to avoid this kind of circumstances.

That's the worst thing that can happen, losing your coin because you lose the opportunity to swap to a new one, even if you are holding the token for a long time you should get at least updates on their social media and group channels, don't just look on the price on the market, check where the project is going to, some developers will not let you swap your coin if you are late in swapping it.

Investment i think goes along with proper monitoring of the project. If the swapped the token, i believe they must have given prior info in regards to that which if you were following up, you must have gotten the info. Anyways sorry for your sad ordeal

This kind of things had happened so many times in the cryptocurrency space that's why its good to always be in their respective telegram group to get updated information about coin swapping, i have personally been a victim of such because i wasn't in the telegram group.
A project announces swapping news on their telegram group and tells instructions on how to swap it to new coin, most of the time some projects failed to tell and change quietly to new contract address especially ethereum based coin.

My advise to you, any coin you are holding in your wallet, be sure to follow them on their social media pages, telegram group, and never to miss out any announcements.

But, honestly I have missed lots of swaps in my crypto life which include bitcoinwhite and streamity. I also holding PCL and JBN but these tokens swapping was auto process like they have sent new tokens to my ethereum addy itself hence I did not gone for any hassles (PCL asked me to follow some steps as it was about changing new contract addy).

When we are holding any token or coin then we must need to follow their dev teams through any of social media. These days twitter and telegram are most useful in this regard. Always watching the dev team will help not missing out any swap kind of news.

to avoid big looses from missing information like this , you have to follow to telegram group or other chat group. its very usefull to get an important update from dev team. maybe if you dont get this information maybe deadline will missed and you permanently loss your money.

It is always good to have a list of all your cryptocurrency holdings and have them updated at regular interval. Always keep tabs on that, go to their communities to know the latest development. This will even help you to know whether to continue holding or sell off. You don't just hold a coin blindly

Now I don't trust this kinda swap, especially low volume altcoins. Every time I sent altcoins to their website to swap, projects started to shut down. The last project was insolar tokens. If you were very updated even though you could lose everything. Although MZG looks like a promising project to me where pundix is the top coins. Anyone have any information about MB8 coins, almost in the same situation.

If the token is going to swap, of course the investor will be given time to swap. Some projects have deadlines and some don't

My question is why some projects have the deadline?
I think it should be no deadline. Or even the project team wants to have the deadline, it must be a long time, not only 1-3 months only. I ever saw a project that made a deadline for swap just for less than 3 months. I think it is like a trap for the holders, the supply is decreasing by the swap, and the developers take advantage because their token value is increasing with a smaller supply.
