That's not wise to outright tell everyone, but it's not wrong to help them as well. I mean not entirely, like how much you have, but what you have learned and gained, not in specific terms, but in how much Crypto has helped you. I think that's a better way to say it instead of bragging.
There's ways of going about it. I've certainly helped people, but I've never really shown specifically the amount that I've earned. You can simply give them ballpark figures, and what they could expect to earn. At the end of the day, in matters on your initial investment, and what route the market takes. It really isn't specific to the person.

Plus there's plenty of examples of people earning money out there, that isn't you. If they ask specifically what you earned, you can just politely tell them you'd rather not talk about it. Although, even that if your talking to a person that you might not think is trustworthy, then that alone could arise suspicion that you've earned a decent amount.

Probably you live in such a modern country, if criminals interested in crypto. In my country crypto is not so popular.
I have my own experience when someone robbed the shop where I worked. My boss had a safe, but he didn't close him and didn't move money to the bank in the evening. So one day he was robbed.
After that I never keep money in my house. I use banks. Yes I paid more, but I feel safety because I don't have much money. With crypto I try to use the same approach, I use online services and don't keep more than some sum$ in one service.

Why trying to hide when crypto billionaires are well known? Why trying to hide when crypto isn't illegal?
This is not true in my own, 'crypto billionaires' aren't known that much except of course they were popular/successful even before they prolly invested in Bitcoin. Elon Musk for example can't be said to have made his wealth through crypto as he was a successful business man even prior to his endorsing Bitcoin and other altcoins. Thus, it's the popularity of these individuals and their association with Bitcoin that makes it look like "crypto billionaires are well known".

Having said that, you're basically not hiding, as a crypto user you have to take responsibility of your funds by protecting yourself, a $5 wrench attack is a possibility for crypto holders, and there are prolly other ways to avoid being attacked physically, but staying quiet about your stash is about the best way possible to do so.

I don't tell any of my friends about crypto that I have they will start greedy when they know I have money and they will start asking you if you want to loan them or they will ignore the repayment for you.
Most of their questions will be about how to get rich quick, something that will not happen overnight and requires you to lose some money.
I tell them I have crypto but I am not talking about how much.

Yeh, I noticed a guy at work was always bragging he'd sunk a LOT of money into bitcoin before it went to $20,000 a couple of years ago then bragged then bemoaned when it started sliding downwards.

As Bitcoin reached $50,000 this year he went eerily silent about owning any Crypto.

Funny that.
Maybe he already sold before bitcoin reach 50,000$ Huh He might be silent because he has lots of regrets in mind lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣, honestly it's wiser to just stay on low key when dealing with crypto mining or investment

Cryptocurrencies have become a good choice for buying and investing, as they have become one of the most important assets that are no less important than gold, due to the ease of storing them in online wallets, and the high protection that these wallets provide to their users.

Some of my friends who have been in the crypto world for a long time don't really publish about their work and assets held in crypto. They and including me choose to keep or keep what I have been doing at home in front of the computer a secret. This will also protect us from robbery that aims to take crypto assets (but nothing happened to date).

always being aware of the surroundings and securing our assets and ourselves is very important for our continuity in the future.

BTC to the MOON in 2019

Good advise, there's nothing to brag about especially if you are holding a decent amount of crypto, that will make your life safer and you'll live in peace.  Just try to reflect on what satoshi did, he is now the richest crypto holder as he discovered bitcoin, but he choose to stay anonymous as he knows the risk associated of being popular and he will never live a normal life.
This reminds me of past year, I think in 2018/2019 when bitcoin Jesus and one other man are trying to fight for satoshi's sit, telling the world that they are the real nakamoto, the fact is some people want the world to know what they are worth, many are doing it presently and nothing hurts them, just know the type of people you will roll with, don't keep any bad company and you will be fine
They claimed to be satoshi but they are not really satoshi as no one would get out from being financially free and say to show himself to the public, that's just fake. The most popular is Craig Wright, he claimed that he is the real satoshi but no one believe in him, and his name is not anymore buzzing now.

Stop posting on your facebook about cryptocurrency as well because you are going to be a walking target when people find out you are in the crypto business. Wearing Tshirts with crypto logo on them could be a clue for them.

Staying humble could be difficult when you want to provide a comfortable life to your family so just make sure you only show the minimum for people around you NOT to get envy.

Very true. Remain humble and low key as much as you can. But you can't avoid those people who really are close to you that will ask for your crypto profits and wanting to have an idea. You choose whom to talk seriously about crypto.

Don't talk to random strangers that would ask you about it because they can attack you with a wrench anytime at their will.

Stop posting on your facebook about cryptocurrency
I did this long time ago but I talk seriously to my closest friends and relatives about it whom I know the attitude are fine to disclose about crypto topics.

That is why there are security measures you can use to help you secured your crypto. You can use different crypto wallet and choose what type of wallet.

Crypto and fiat are totally different and therefore the security measures to store crypto are entirely different than the fiat. With fiat you can keep the money in the bank and bank is responsible for the safeguard of your money But with crypto no matter in which wallet you keep your crypto (Online / Cold wallet) the responsibilities of keeping it save entirely depends upon you.

Lol as far as I know many people want to do crypto right now, even if some people hate you for your crypto success they can get mad enough to get in the game themselves, crypto is freedom and anyone can learn just by using Google, the news about attacks on crypto holders is very limited I believe

Ha-ha, that sounded threatening, but that is the truth. When you are a doctor who spent 10 years in education and now stably earns 200-300k a year that doesn't make you a target, but if you put 100$ years ago into bitcoin and now your money is worth 200-300k that will make lol.

There's ways of going about it. I've certainly helped people, but I've never really shown specifically the amount that I've earned. You can simply give them ballpark figures, and what they could expect to earn. At the end of the day, in matters on your initial investment, and what route the market takes. It really isn't specific to the person.
I think it still depends on who you are talking to and if they are trustworthy enough, to begin with. The best way, IMO, is to tell them that they themselves can earn but they need to study and put some real effort into it as well. Understand why the likes of Elon Musk are hyping crypto. Educating them with what crypto is the best approach.

I think people who became famous by becoming a millionaire in the recent Doge pump could be a great example of those. So saying those who had the opportunity to become millionaires could immediately say that they could earn from it. But doing that is a different story as well (because of trading).

Well, the doctor probably has a safer house in a better neighborhood, insured and with the money kept in banks and safe deposits. Also he doesn't stand out from the others from his neighborhood or his entourage, hence even if he'd be bragging, the others won't care so much.
On the other hand, "you" and the bragging most probably would stand out and could reach easier unwanted ears.

Each of us has different goals and plans, and that’s normal.
I know people who sold bitcoin when it was worth a few hundred dollars and are now depressed about it.
Each of us should take responsibility for our decisions.
If he really sold his bitcoins too fast, it is certainly not easy for him now, but life goes on and everyone can buy cryptocurrencies again and make money again, there are no limits and everything can be fixed, every wrong decision corrected and that is the beauty of cryptocurrencies.  Grin

Firstly the hackers would first have something on you, before they can work on the information, silence/anonymity in crypto-currency is part of safety.
And these includes
+ Posting ID or addresses on bounty programs
+ Telegram involvement that's are unsafe
+ Free giveaways, faucet
+ Using your main crypto-currency wallet for example in passing down knowledge.

I think wealth is intoxicating, and especially when you have it in crypto-currency, and crypto-currency being the trend it can add to hype ego showing off you involved in it, and all that can be lethal.

there an advantage of being a lowkey person or like what op said being humble and down to earth, actually people who brag are the people who are mostly disliked by other people, the only ones who will like that person are the people who also want to take advantage of him because maybe he has money, in the crypto world if you brag about your money in social media you might put yourself in a bad situation especially with pandemic people needs money and bad people might rob you even worse kill you so stay humble.
