The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

I dont think it matters why not, but rather which escrow they are comfortable with.

If they are not comfortable with any escrow, then id ask "why not"

thanks!
Buck brings up a good point. Is this auction good with a specific credible Escrow? You have to understand a Newbie running an auction for someone else may steer people away.....

HEY BLUECEPHEUS.  THANKS A LOT BUDDY FOR NOT GIVING ME A RATING AFTER OUR DEAL.  AND THEN YOU HAVE THE BALLS TO SHIT ON MY AUCTION.  NICE ONE BUDDY.

This guy paid first, I get him the coin. He begs me to give him a good rating while he gives me none and shits on me

What are you smokin'?

I'm going to go on a limb and theorize that LV's account was compromised, and this is not the true LV...

  • Seems very out of character for him based on his reputation and our past interactions
  • A couple of days ago, I received an unsolicited PM on here with a link to a landing page that was identical to Bitcointalk's login page... only, it wasn't. They were phishing credentials from members. I reported to the mods, but this actually lends credence to the theory
  • All of the stuff "LV" is throwing out there re: recent deals could be learned from his reviews and PMs.
  • The newbie's account was created 3 days before the auction listing
  • The only feedback the newbie has is from no other than, you guessed it, LV -- on April 30, the date of the auction

Does any trusted member here know LV personally who can verify?

@Mods, are you able to investigate the IP address activity associated with LV's account for signs of abuse?

Liquidoptions has already vouched for me.  Why are you trying to sabotage me bluecephus?

I am not the one who is lying here.  Here is a screen shot of my trust ratings.  No bluecephus to be found.

At the end of the day, my friend said he would do me a favor my helping me sell off some of my small denomination coins.  That is literally all this is.

Then why not offer a 1 time escrow to validate him?

I am saying I am validating him.

Whoever wins this auction will also validate it to everyone that they got the coin and the deal is legit.

I saw that. Escrow is the action that backs these random words on the internet though..

Here,

Let me B R E A K it down for all the people screaming about escrow and why its utterly stupid for a seller to do this.

Lets say I agree to escrow.  THIS PUTS ALL THE BURDEN OF RISK ON ME.  You could take the coin, and turn around and say to minerjones you didn't get it, or it was damaged, or it was already redeemed.  Minerjones then gives you back your money.  And I have now lost my coin.

What part of this don't you people understand?

Then send the coin to the escrow first.

Why are you being stubborn with escrow which is a very common tool used on this forum? id say standard.

No one needs to buy your coin if they dont feel confrontable without using the most standard means of protection on this forum.

If you are afraid of escrow, then go to eBay or some other crappy place that you can deal with all the risks.

Amazing that you are arguing over this TBH.

Id NEVER do a deal with you without escrow, sorry, your "newbie friend".   Especially after this rant, sounds way too fishy, and if you dont see that, no one can help you.

Sorry if you dont see it that way.

There is also a downside to sending to minerjones because now the coin is being shipped twice, meaning that doubles the risk of the item potentially being lost in transit.  So I’m really just looking out for you in the end.  Sorry you don’t see it that way.

Also, if I felt like it was suspicious I would wait to see if the first person got their coin.  And if they did, then if there were auctions later down the road, I would bid on them.

Look, I give a shit so much.  That I worry about the coin being lost in transit even after I have gotten my escrow money.  Most people wouldn’t give a shit, but I literally think of all these things.. By only shipping it once, it reduces the risk to the customer in regards to shipping.

Because I am a nice guy to a fault.  And so when I do these things people don’t know what to think.  But I don’t always want to fucking break down every little thought in my head of why I do what I do.  But I have my reasons, and honestly it’s my prerogative to sell them how I please.

Honestly,  I don't see why it's a big deal. If you guys believe that Lazer is willing to risk his perfect trust ratings for 0.01 btc then by all means don't bid.

Edit: Also, I would like to mention that blucepheus is a good guy, means well, and keeps his end of the deal. I'm sure he left you feedback as promised; unfortunately, not everyone's trust shows under "Trusted feedback". Sad
