In the simulation you could create a character and mine coins in the middle of the map and bring them back to your base, kind of like how you can set up a mining rig to mine bitcoin or mine gold in real life.

What happened was instead of the players going to the middle to get coins from nature, as supply got harder to obtain players opted to kill other players for coins.
Some players created bots to play the game for them. Kind of how people are creating AI/Robots that are replacing more and more jobs.

What we need is a coin everyone mints at the same rate, so people don`t have to kill or rob to obtain supply for basic needs.

To be honest no currency is better than a fairly generated supply for humanity, for we will checkmate ourselves in space in the future if we do have currency.

Someone will have a bunch of a resource we need to get to the next planet. Like we will need gold for our spaceships computers to make a voyage to the next galaxy to get some more gold for more spaceships and computers but some asshole will hoard the gold and checkmate.

I think the first step is to make a fairly distributed currency then when we become self sustained we transfer into no currency.

For me it is clear as the sky. The humanity's system of payments should be decentralized. I'm a supporter of a single currency in the world whose supply is not controlled by any central entity. This way a lot of problems will disappear and countries' balance sheets should get even. Just think about what could be done in other states with the amount of debt the United States has. lol
