My rig won't boot.

The PSU starts spinning (so does gpu if connected), but soon stops.
No bios, no monitor signal

I'm running out of ideas. The entire build was done wearing rubber gloves. Nothing looks broken.

Tried a new kaby lake cpu
Tried 3 different PSU's
Trie new RAM
Tried disconnecting every GPU

Had it at the local repair dude, no bios, no signal.

Specs:

MOBO: AsRock H110 pro btc+
CPU: Intel i5-7400 kaby lake
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2400MHz 8GB
PSU: Corsair Rm1000x

first solution is post in alt coins mining not btc mining.

I asked mods to move it.

is this your board?

https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813157781?

Are you sure you have a good i5 7400 cpu that is tested as working?

this list says it should work

https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H110%20Pro%20BTC+/index.asp#CPU

now the ram list does not include your ram

https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H110%20Pro%20BTC+/index.asp#Memory

so it may be you need a 2133 ram stick

it is all I got.

The ram list does not include my ram, but on the specs it says:

"Supports DDR4 2400 / 2133 non-ECC, un-buffered memory*"
"*7th Gen Intel® CPU supports DDR4 up to 2400; 6th Gen Intel® CPU supports DDR4 up to 2133."

And i have a 7th gen, which they claim supports up to 2400.

I'm either about to buy a different brand motherboard or buy a third set of RAM, which will probably let me down again.

are you sure the cpu is good?
are you sure the gpu's are good?

trouble shooting without a second mobo that can uses the cpu means you do not know if you have a good cpu.

basically

you have

bad risers
bad cpu
bad gpus
bad ram
bad mobo
bad hdd or ssd or usb stick

any of the above could be true.

so how to test a riser do it on a good setup if it works the riser is good.
how to test a cpu do it on a good setup if it works the cpu is good.
how to test a gpu do it on a good setup if it works the gpu is good.

the same is true for each and every part above.

if every part works they very likely the mobo is bad.

but there is not much you can do if you have just 1 mobo that can work the i5 7400 cpu.

since you know that does not work.

I know it sucks but you need multiple gear to test the issue out.

My algorithm:
1. I plug in the microphone and listen to the error code
2. I connect the motherboard with the processor and memory to the power supply and to the monitor.
Do not install the cooling system, but after starting up, touch the processor with your finger. If the processor is cold, the CPU may be defective, or it is not receiving power due to a defective motherboard.
3.If it does not work, I change the power supply
4.If it does not work, I change the memory (for the test, any memory with a frequency of 2133 MHz (2 GB) is enough
5.If it does not work, install a test processor (some kind of celeron, which is supported by any BIOS version)
6. If it doesn't work, I change the motherboard.

I think that this is not the problem if the user's mining farm turns off.
I have for this purpose a motherboard with the ability to connect 3-4 video cards for testing.
You can look for a used motherboard (socket AM3 +) with an AMD dual-core processor and 4 GB of memory ddr 3, it is inexpensive 60-100 dollars.

Let's go back to basics here.   Motherboard has the standard 24 pin main power, and then you will have a supplemental 8 pin power connector on the motherboard(normally near the rear connectors for your USB/ethernet ports and such along that top edge).   Then you have your CPU.   It is possible you damaged the pins, though that is uncommon.   Then you add RAM and the CPU cooler.

With nothing else in the machine, no video cards(just the onboard video in the CPU), does your machine POST?   I've seen a LOT of people forget to plug in that supplemental power connector to the motherboard and then freak out when the machine won't boot.
