Look there is a two kind of bitcoin users 1: holder 2: trader. And this topic is a loveliest topic for holder and a worst topic for trader. Because the holder thought bitcoin is for long tern holding. What we need we just need to invest and wait for a long term then see your profit. But for traders long term holding is useless. They know only short term trading. They just know just enter into the market in a deep price then when market rise take profit. Or enter the market when market is pumping then take profit and exit. They just want profit in short term. Thats why this long term holding might be not a suitable things for traders but for holder this is best. I hope i can explain you. Yeah stacking sats is the best option for those who does not have luxury to buy a whole bitcoin, half or a quarter of it.

Any investment towards bitcoin (holding) will not be a waste in the long term considering you will have kids 5-10 years from now assuming you're just on your 20s having thoughts of having kids.

It will not be a waste only if you
- still live
- successfully give them the private keys or transfer funds to your kids at their teen age or somewhere that already knew the tech
- your backup/private keys/seeds are still with you, in short your device wasn't hacked or stolen or similar.

Lots of writing about bitcoin for the future. Bitcoin is believed to be more developed. This is because bitcoin has a supply limit, so the possibility of inflation and product failure is very rare. It's different from fiat money. So as long as the consensus on btc is still being agreed then I think the price of btc will continue to grow. Saving a few satosi may not be a problem for now and in the future. It's a small, long-term investment.

The only currency I would consider buying and holding for more than ten years would be Bitcoin, this falls into the area of being used as an inheritance.
If you wish to hold for that long, then short term price movements or volatility should not be of much importance, rather focus on the fundamentals of the coin, as that's the feature that determines the potential of a coin.

There is no way we can know what will be the status of crypto in the future but you have thousands of reasons to believe that dealing with the risk of Bitcoin investment is worth it.

But as you said, crypto is volatile. If you are the type of person that having trouble riding the waves of crypto or understands the risk of putting money on crypto, then you should not treat your crypto investment as a secure financial source to save your future.

While putting your faith in bitcoin, you can consider setting up another investment to supports your financial status until it will become strong and stable. There are lots of business opportunities outside and you don't have to rely purely on crypto investment.

As a matter of fact, I have a friend who did exactly that; some years ago he bought 1 BTC for his kid (who was toddler back then) and he plans to give him BTC when he reaches 18. How situation is developing, kid might get a million dollar gift when he turns 18

Now it's of course impossible for many of us to do something like that, but I dont think that's a bad idea to buy a little bit when you can and set it a side for your kid.

If you can afford to invest in crypto - do it. In particular, as far as your interest is long-term investments - purchase Bitcoin because altcoins aren't as reliable and are farther away from global adoption.
However, if the question is whether or not to invest all your financial assent - I'd personally think twice before doing it. I certainly believe in crypto, but too much is at stake here, and, frankly, no one can know what will happen, what the governments have on their minds. What if all of a sudden there's a global ban on cryptocurrencies, then what? On the other hand, come to think of it, nothing guarantees safety. One can acquire realty and then some kind of a hurricane destroys it all.
So IMO it's best to invest only a part of your assets in crypto, up to 30-40%, and leave the rest for something else.

I personally save some of my money in crypto for long-term savings and hope to get a bigger profit than saving savings on bank , to be honest saving in crypto I can get 20% profit in 1 week so crypto is pretty good if it is used as savings for our children in the future, even though it is often there is a very deep price decline but when it goes down there will definitely be an increase in prices and reaching a new ATH

I mean there is always a risk investing in cryptocurrency and there were so many things that affect the market price of bitcoin so you cant always expect to earn a profit all the time.

That answer here is there was no guarantee so true it could just be a waste of money at the end of the day, even investing in bitcoin which is the top currency doesn't completely guarantee that you are going to get profits.

If war happened this cryptocurrency stuff could just crash and we all lose our money, but understanding how bitcoin works you can have some assurance that in the future it will have some value.

It is not waste of money, dude. I am actually saving up some bitcoin for the future of my offspring. If you will just go back with bitcoin's history you will gonna be amazed with how the price progress from 2010 to 2021. What more for upcoming years? The value of bitcoin will gonna shine and will become more valuable than today. 
 
 Not only that, the blockchain and advancement technology in it can be taught to our children in the future and they can use this technology in their daily lives as well

In my opinion its not a wastage of money, because if you see the bitcoin graph its going up and up and after 3 to 5 year the bitcoin touched to $100k.
bitcoin is a first Digital Asset and it will not come down, you can compare bitcoin with property, if you purchase any property the price will increase day to day.
It is a very beneficial decision to saving bitcoin for kids future.

Any investment is a good idea/way of planning for your childs future. This investment must not necessarily be in bitcoin. You make investment in bitcoin when you expect your capital and investment in it to yield a good amount of profit over a couple of years because you believe strongly that it will outplay its current performance (Stacking and hodling).
If however, you do not completely believe and do not want to base your investment on speculation, it is still okay to make fixed deposits for them occasionally.

This is not new, I know some of my friends have done this in the last bull run. One of my friends bought 2 piece pack of Trezor one for his 2 girls and transferred 0.25 BTC in the correction time. He pledged not to touch those funds and the devices will be given to his girls once they turn 18. I would say that will be the best gift to anyone at the age of 18. Your title is far from your question because the way you deliver this thread it seems that you are not asking about bitcoin alone but for the entire crypto market in which including Altcoins.

I personally having Invested 2/3 of my Holding for my Children ..meaning from bitcoin to my altcoin big part of those are for them.

So asking this? it is Bitcoin that is best to buy for them .

Investing for something that doesn't quite exist yet like your future kids isn't really a good thing,think of your future first before thinking about the others. I would just go with bitcoin as an investment for the future because it does the work and it has been proven that it can reach heights that not many coins hasn't reached yet.

Don't Make it hard mate , if you think that Crypto investing will save your future then why not right?

Buy coins that you believe will be Mooning in future and not only for bitcoin.

Buy Ripple ,Dogecoin and Litecoin and keep them to your Wallet for 5-10 years enough for your kids to be mature and have knowledge on how crypto will help them out even when your gone.

In the longer term, it is Bitcoin that is surely remaining to be above any other cryptocurrency. There will still be altcoins of course. I cannot imagine cryptocurrency devoid of altcoins. Others may not agree with me but there are certain altcoins which are very useful and have been serving certain purposes. There's Ethereum (ETH) and Monero (XMR) for example.

But always put Bitcoin ahead of the rest.

Yeah, holding bitcoin is the good thing to do right now for the futures of our children, the price of bitcoin may rise in the future and if you have no savings or investment in bitcoin then it would be good for you to secure the future of your family but still depends on how much bitcoin you invest.
