Just to be sure, has anyone been successful at withdrawing in any of the withdrawal options like Paxum, Dwolla, international wire etc. for the last week?

They told me that my money should have been at my Paxum account yesterday (no money on the account yet), I requested to withdraw 2500 USD more then a week ago.

No, same thing here.  Made a withdrawal request (paxum) 10 days ago and still haven't seen it yet.

This is a regular problem at Gox, although usually it's usually only a 4-5 day or so wait.

My withdrawals from Mt.Gox hit Dwolla within a few hours at most.  I almost always have the cash in my bank account the next day [I setup Dwolla to auto transfer incoming funds into my bank account].  My last withdrawal was Friday and it hit my bank account Monday.

I withdrew to Dwolla on Nov. 23rd, and it showed up in Dwolla in less than an hour.  I've never used Paxum, but I see people complaining about MtGox withdrawals to Paxum all over these forums.

I saw this scroll by on IRC today:

(Most useless messages removed)
Quote
[10:49] <@MagicalTux> right now we cannot wire to Paxum because of the investigations on money laundering
[10:51] <Ukto> paxum fail?
[10:51] <deego> MagicalTux: So, that's why my three withdrawal requests are pending for 3 weeks?  Couldn't that have been communicated to us 2 weeks ago so we could cancel our requests?
[10:51] <mindphlux> Why do other exchanges have not the same kind of liquidity problems on paxum?
[10:51] <deego> Anyhow, cancel requests don't work with mtgox any more either.
[10:52] <Ukto> hmm, part of the reason I don't like these 3rd party processors
[10:56] <@MagicalTux> mindphlux: other exchanges are not dealing with the same volumes we are
[10:56] <mindphlux> ok
[10:56] <@MagicalTux> once they get a bit bigger they'll hit the same compliance issues we do
[10:56] <mindphlux> So, honest question, why don't you remove paxum then if it's only providing problems
[10:56] <@MagicalTux> we should be able to send funds to paxum again once the investigation clears us

So why do they tell me on 24th of November, "The funds in question have been confirmed as processed on our end and should appear in your account within 3 business days."

So what does this mean, can we just cancel the withdrawal or is the money in limbo for days and weeks??

No idea, to be honest. I also think they could've actually communicated to the public that they're getting a paxum investigation. That would maybe have helped with understanding.

It's like pulling teeth trying to get information about what's going on from MtGox.  It's as though they hope these incidents will be resolved before users notice that they're having trouble withdrawing their funds.

What's especially annoying is that the exchanges have known for months that AML compliance is an issue which can lead to their accounts being frozen, yet whenever they add a new payment processor they pretend like the same problems aren't going to arise again.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

Agreed - the fact that they know the reason for the delay and failed to post anything is very annoying.

Someone should run a Bitcoin pool on which MtGox withdrawal method will fuck up each week and how long it will be before the issue is resolved.

Dont forget, you can always use Bitinstant.com to withdraw MtGox codes into Tradehill, then then use one of their withdrawal options.
