VanEck Files For First Ethereum ETF in U.S.

According to Bloomberg, on Friday VanEck Associates Corp. filed its first Ethereum ETF, a companion application to its Bitcoin ETF application, which is currently being reviewed by the SEC.

"If approved, the VanEck Ethereum Trust would hold Ether and value its shares daily based off the MVIS CryptoCompare Ethereum benchmark rate, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission."

Once this ETF got approved, gonna be huge for Ethereum, but it will also helpful for Bitcoin too.

Since we haven't seen any Bitcoin ETF. I also don't think we will able to see first to other altcoins, like Ethereum. I'm no hater here, I am hoping this ETF application will get approved. And once that, it could be easy for Bitcoin too and other cryptocurrencies for sure.

That is the good news of the electronics market. The capitalization of ETH will be increased and the whole market added. I believe projects like LTC, ADA, EOS, XTZ ... will also be offered an ETF contract in the future because ETH did.
The crypto boom is happening, and they are going to spread around the world.

Well, this is the next blow, and it looks like ETH is taking the spotlight right now to push the new ATH at $ 3k8, which makes the market push even further, to the edge.  Great for ETH if it gets officially approved and joins the ETF, this great news will be the breeze!  but I think it will be in the review process and there will be a bit of delay

If indeed this happens, of course the price of Ethereum will continue to increase because in the past month, Ethereum continues to have good news for their project, such as the European Investment Bank which uses their platform as a medium for issuing digital bonds and now the if SEC approved the proposal VanEck of course will be the first US ether ETF, and of course it will indirectly increase the popularity of ether and push its price even higher.

this is a great news and in my opinion this is the reason why the price of Ethereum can increase very high, then I am sure if the price of Ethereum will continue to increase and can even reach $ 5000, therefore if you have not invested in Ethereum, then you can still get a lot of profit from investing in Ethereum at this time.

That's true. The Bitcoin ETF in the US remains the holy grail of Bitcoin investments. Once approved, the bitcoin's price will likely skyrocket, and most coins will rise along with it.

The first Bitcoin ETF application was filed almost a decade ago, but it was rejected. It was later submitted again, and again, rejected. There have been at least twelve proposals that have reached the SEC's desk over the years, and none has made it to the board. However, something really feels different now. There are already several crypto exchange-traded funds outside the US, including Canada and Brazil. Additionally, a new chairman has been seated at the SEC, former CFTC chief Gary Gensler; while noted Bitcoin skeptic Dalia Blass left the Investment Management division in January.
