Doge can't be improved and the unlimited supply will remain forever. I think that the creator of doge coin was creating this coin as a memecoin and he has not yet ever thought that if doge coin can become another major coin right now. That's not possible to did the fork for the doge coin. It looks like that you were missing very important information in the past if doge coin was unlimited coin.
It's already talked by so many communities about this. So many supply controlled by a few addresses which makes it become truly centralized.

Its too risky for a long term holding, better to just ride the hype and every time you make profit, better to take right away since many whales are playing with DOGE and you might got trapped if you hold this for long. I am not a Dogecoin enthusiast but I will say the fact here.
Yes, the coin is overpriced but the big problem Dogecoin needs to solve is not the problem of uncapped (no maximum supply) because Dogecoin is not the only one that doesn't have it and Ethereum is an example and it still doing well in the market.
The problem of Dogecoin is used cause, the concept of the coin was stated to be a meme but I hear a rumor that Elon has included it as payment in his SpaceX project, and if it's true it will help the price of the Doge market.

the limit is 500000 new blocks each year.

and as each and every year passes the 500000 blocks become smaller as a percent then the year before.

in year 10 when we go to year 11 we add 10% more blocks.
in year 20 when we go to year 21 we only add 5% more blocks
in year  50 when we go to year 51 we only add 2% more blocks
in year 100  we go to year 101 and only add 1% more blocks.
in year 200 we go to year 201 and only add .5% more blocks.

Well why bother yourself about this matter. I think what important is the current circulating supply not the upcoming supply.  If it is overpriced right now, it will correct itself along the way.  As long as demand exceeds the supply, it will always be overpriced just like any basic necessities getting higher if there is lack of supply.

It isn't the only crypto with infinite supply ETH also have infinite supplies.
And I think it isn't the only problem that Doge have compared to ETH, ETH continues to grow but Doge has stopped for a long time because the team already left it.

I don't know whether the limited max supply problem still can be solved. I hope there is a way for it. Because I also have the same idea with you. And, Dogecoin doesn't seem to be a shitcoin but it is shitcoin-ish to me.    But if it solves this problem, I may change my mind about it.

Aside from the hype that unlimited cap makes it unattractive not unless it has use cases. There are good coins that potentially deserve its place but this is crypto and anything is possible. Who would expect that a Billionaire would shill a memecoin, investors should be wise enough.

People don't really care whether a coin has a cap or not they are just flowing with the wind that is Elon musk and I would say they aren't wrong either because so far the coin has moved upwards and everyone who invested in dogecoin at almost any value has benefited only. There are investors who don't even know what is dogecoin and whether it has any benefit but they are buying it just because everyone else is doing that right now which is what makes the market bullish.

I have a feeling though that once the dump starts happening and whenever it happens, there will be a massacre in the market because no one really likes to hold this coin, trust me. Once the bear run starts it will just crush the market, mark my words.

I also made some profit with dogecoins but I will strictly advise against holding it any longer because now things are getting interesting since even Elon Musk's impact is coming to an end and his tweets don't pump it as much as they did before.

I am not sure whether it is overpriced since it hasn't reached $1 yet but yeah not having a cap can create a bit of a mess later on. Traders don't really care to be honest though because they see the movement in the market and they just buy those top-performing coins and dogecoin has certainly been the top movers in the market for some time.

It is both bogus and also not bogus at the same time. The unlimited is still unlimited, which means if you have 5 cents and I give you 5 cents more that's 100% BUT if you have 5 million dollars and I give you 5 cents that's still 5 cents and there is still more money and that is a very important thing. Just because it is unlimited doesn't mean that it will be horrible, it will be horrible because it serves no purpose at all on a period when most coins have a good reason and a great use case, this one is just a meme coin and totally worthless when you want to use it so that is why I will never even consider buying it.

However unlimited is not the reason, while being a valid reason not to buy for someone else, it is not for me, it is not a bogus reason, it is a logical reason, it is just not something I would care, CAKE doesn't have a limit neither but I love that one, all because it has a purpose.

People need to understand that without a cap on the maximum total supply of a cryptocurrency, it looses one of the most important characteristics of cryptocurrencies and that is scarcity.
Bitcoin prices is almost guaranteed to go higher because the supply is never going to increase, and with more adoption there will be more scarcity and an increase in the demand.

If you believe that dogecoin is the "future of currency" I have some magic beans to sell you. Doge has never been future of anything, the coder of it made it up in 2 hours (literally said it himself) and it was just for a joke, there is a centralization with too many of the coins owned by too little amount of people, it is not solving any problems, it is not improved upon anything else, it is uncapped and it has manipulation problems as we have seen.

All of which shows that dogecoin is just a coin that should have died long time ago, even if it is alive today that doesn't mean that it will continue down this path, as soon as Elon comes out and says he is no longer supporting doge that is going to be enough to destroy all of it. This is why I would advise you to not be falling for this dogecoin hype and try to act reasonably or you are going to lose all your money.

There are other cryptocurrencies doing so well with infinite supply. A very good example is ethereum. Despite the fact that we've had ethereum value increase substantially, there is still no cap as to the number of tokens that could be mined. Though, ethereum has its own modalities in reducing or eradicating inflation.

Doge is being exaggerated too much for its true value, investing in doge at this time is very risky.
Don't put too much faith in Elon Musk and Doge coin, if Elon Musk really loves this coin, he would have accepted Doge in payment a long time ago.
