I just realized that my 50 BTC donation to the forum is now worth $2.9 million. Wow! Never in my life have I expected it to be that big.

This is the most obvious 'bitcoin pizza' moment for me. What's your bitcoin pizza moment? Anything crazy you want to share?

Here's to another 10 years of HODL'ing Smiley

Do you know people from the beginning like you, who just HODLed Bitcoin and have never sold a single coin since the moment they started accumulating it? Where are they today? What are their plans for their wealth?

If he got that much and donated 50 BTC, he could have more still today. Like him, he hodled as well like the rest of us who got a ton of eth while it was just $3.

My pizza moment was when put a sell order of more than 600+ Waves on cryptopia. Now can only laugh histerically with only 30+ waves.

As long as you got the money for the sold Waves it is all not that bad. Cryptopia shut its doors with some of my coins on their exchange, but I didn't even know in detail anymore what was there and in which amounts. The procedure to resolve the issue was way too complicated.

My bitcoin pizza moment was trusting the wrong person by investing more than 12 BTC in a platform called coinlenders that then run away with the coin.

Oh wait, that was you...

Traded with my friend 0.2 bitcoin when it was still around the low 4-digit price a phone that was slightly used, I forgot the brand but it was a high specs back then of Samsung and fast forward today, I could've bought the same phone 4 times if I just waited.

I had almost no such experience, but it was my friends and I who decided to argue with each other. And the person who loses this discussion is holding a lottery for 1 eth, then it was about $98. But now... Now we see for ourselves that at the moment it was $4.5k

Good to see some early adopter members of this market had given out some words about those pizza moment which is indeed a very sad situation where it do leave some regret feeling that we shouldnt
have spent those coins but well, who had actually anticipated for this thing to go that high? Even that pizza guy might still have that nightmare until this very moment on why he had
spent out much bitcoin for some slice of pizza but well we cant turn back into the past, whats done is done. On my part about those pizza moment is on when i do waste up on spending my coins
since from 2016 and hadnt save up that much.I would have been rich if i do able to do so.

You guys are assuming the account is in the possession of the original owner, and I see no reason to do this. Even if it was the original owner, they're kind of glossing over how they came to possess that kind of BTC in the first place.

https://www.coindesk.com/hackers-steal-bitcoins-inputs-io-wallet-service

Quote
In a phone interview with Australia’s AM radio show Tradefortress responded to challenges that the theft was ‘an inside job’, though he insisted that he wouldn’t be reporting the theft to the police because the bitcoins are untraceable and it would be impossible to track the culprit.

...

Tradefortresses’ public identity still remains unknown, however his reputation on Bitcointalk seems to be questionable, with at least two members claiming to have been scammed by him for failing to deliver on coding projects he had already been paid for. He has said that he wishes to retain his anonymity as he now fears for his safety in light of this recent heist.

At best this is some stab to regain reputation; whether for the account or the individual is beyond me.
