It's like this my Secret btc Price indicator shows that.  Btc Price Right Now It's low.
Actually It's Not Secret I Tell how Logically to know If the prices are high or low*

Take a 2 coins xrp and ada. 
We see that  xrp is a top coin It's low the price is Under 1$ so It's low by the time we look Under valued top coin like xrp we see Where the Bitcoin is going.

But xrp was Yesterday  0.70... It's a 30% correction from the 1$   and btc was  30k... It shows  30k is strong support.

And xrp is Good indicator to show that Where the market goes. 
Usually When xrp rises Up the all market crashing.

We Got to look If xrp fall to 0.70 price range then It's a  lowest price and that time Where is the Bitcoin that Will be lowest price for btc.

As for the take away message, I get that you're using XRP as the benchmark but I do agree that most people will only use BTC as times and times again BTC market dictates what the rest of alts will do. In my opinion XRP is not the best indicator to look at overall market trends.

It could work like that. I think that is one indicator that we can use to analyze the market and we have many more indicators that we can use to analyze the market and I am sure we have a different analysis method that can work for us. Every people analysis will work for him but not for other people, so we need to adjust or do something so the analysis can work for us. We can use another approach to get the sign from the market and the more sign we can get, the more chances we can enter the market. Otherwise, we can only watch the market moves.

I see his point. It's easier for him because it's a low whole number. If there will be a coin that was valued at $10 he can also use that as basis or if there is another at $100 then it will be the easiest of them all. Dumped at $60 then it means 40% correction.
That's sounds a bit foolish but if it works out for him then why not. But its not a financial or trading advice.
You can just use the calculator pressing windows+R then type in "calc".  

I'll be looking forward for an extended explanation and I hope it will be easier.
