I have been using Blockfolio on Mobile and when I am on my laptop I don't rely on Blockfolio, I search google to see the value for BTC and now one day I notice when Iam using My cellphone and later search the value of BTC on the net it is different.

What are the apps or website that is right and you used when it comes to seeing the value for BTC and others? please do share

It's like as far as my years in holding Bitcoin I have been betrayed.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

You can use apps like coinmarketcap and coingecko which are good, you can also see the prices of coins on exchanges you are using, the prices are also included on wallets. Using coinmarketcap and coingecko will be good because it estimates all exchanges prices and average it which will give more better result than using only exchanges for it but the price difference will still not b that significant for coins that are not shitcoins.

I am just using Blockfolio for it. It's a kinda simple app since you can also view your portfolio there if you add some. Since it is supported on Android and IOS, it's very easy to access.

And alternative is Coingecko, even they have not-so-nice UI in their android app, it's still simple, I can get what I want to get as of the moment since most of the cryptocurrencies are listed there with different information.

I used to go for Crypto Market Cap app, until I tried the CoinGecko and found it to be more "rewarding".

And by rewarding, you get candies for checking in daily which could be used to redeem some stuffs. A neat feature I'd say.

When it comes to apps on mobile phone, I used  Blockfolio and Delta, but few years ago I removed them from my phone completely. My problem was that I was checking prices xyz timer per day (like many others I think) but I wasn't actively trading or anything like that, just passively watching. Since it's kinda counterproductive to look at prices if you won't really do anything about it (it especially wasn't fun during bear market) I just removed them and never looked back. It was hard at the beginning, but now I am at the point that I don't really care about daily price movement.

Regarding the websites, I prefer Coingecko over CMC when checking something out, even though I don't use that either on the regular basis.

I know some may disagree, but for the average user who mostly owns Bitcoin and maybe a few altcoins, any apps is redundant and just poses a risk to your smartphone. I would also agree with Rikafip, because if you are not an active trader, checking the price every 5 minutes is not something that is normal and will take you too much time. I also had one widget (desktop) for the BTC price, but when I bought a new computer I no longer found the need to reinstall it - now it is enough for me to visit CMC and look at the prices several times a day.

Having already mentioned widgets, here is one that some may find useful (forum link).

I don't really use any app, but I use a Telegram bot called Cointrendz to check crypto price. It's quite accurate. They get their data from CMC and Coingecko, two of the best data aggregator for this kind of purpose. On top of that, it's free. I suggest you try it out unless you need some portfolio app because Cointrendz doesn't give you something like that. Just pure price checking.

No app anymore, since they're all closed source and the open-source alternatives are pretty buggy.

I'm checking prices using CoinGecko nowadays on both of my laptop and my phone. Over my web browser, without downloading their apps. Unless a good enough open source alternative comes up, I will continue to only check through the web.

applications depend on the differences between the platforms to calculate the real price. the more platforms the application adopts, the closer the average is to the price that appears in many platforms, but always remember, the real price is the one that is set when your buy/sell order is placed, regardless of the price that appears in CoinGecko.

my best one is CoinGecko. Coinmarketcap support binance and them support for altcoins/BNB

This the question which is already asked a lot of times in this forum. Better to use search function to find them before creating new topic. Smiley This advice is for all the members not only for you though.

Btw blockfolio app is one of the best price and portfolio tracker in crypto. Many people are using it and I used it before. I have good experience there in past maybe it's now more beautiful after updating.

I used coinmarketcap web site before. It was also a good one for me. recently there is an user-friendly mobile app for coinmarketcap.

Now talking about recently what I using. Tbh those things depend on the nature of you. And it come for different time in different purposes. In past I was active in trading and I felt those apps is useful for me. But now I am less active in trading and very happy with the binance mobile app. If I think about to check the bitcoin price just visit it and see, also try to see altcoins price which I holding during the time.
