How to split BCH and BSV without sending all the coins at once?

Hi.

I have a bitcoin core wallet with BCH and BSV, both haven't been moved since their respective forks. I want to sell both, but apparently there is some black magic required in order to avoid accidentally losing one of them (replay protection what?). I've found a manual that involves exodus wallet, but it says to send ALL the coins at once. I'd much prefer to send a small amount to verify it works first - is there any way to achieve that?
