The attitude of Elon Musk seems to be as stupid as can be. Of course some will say that when he manipulates the markets with big announcement like Tesla will accept Bitcoin, then Tesla will temporary stop accepting them, and soon Spacex will accept Bitcoin, this seems like a kid playing in a sandbox with friends.
However, this also enlight how crypto can be manipulated and needs some kind of control from the government.

Elon Musk is too connected to be acting alone playing this game.
I suspect that he is trying to enlight that markets are subject to manipulation and needs to be regulated, and give to the SEC the right pretext for doing it.
I can see coming the fact that the SEC will investigate him, and I cannot imagine that he is jumping in the dragon mouth without having a pre-agreement to do so.

So guys are you going to continue to dance with the SEC's joker? Or ignore his puppet dance?

Because, with Bitcoin doing a fork, Ethereum doing a fork and Elon giving the SEC a reason to bite and legalize the crypto under strict oversight only, which will end most of the crypto by making them illegal in US and Europe. The consequences for your portfolio will be huge.

What do you think?

Elon Musk is John McAfee. John McAfee is Elon Musk. I sent tweets to Mr. Musk telling him to stop the manipulation because he is playing with fire. Now it's up to him, but what he did may not pass without consequences. Being a billionaire doesn't mean you can do whatever you please. A lot of people lost cash already and aren't happy about it.

No I think that McAfee was acting alone, while Elon Musk I think is the puppet of the regulators. Big difference.

You must be a special person if you think that Musk is going to respond to your message. Unfortunately the truth is if you are a billionaire you can get away with everything since you have the money and the influence that comes with it. This people that you are talking about, I think some of them deserves the losses because they followed what Elon said and didn't think for themselves.

Yes you are completely right I just did my part even if it won't matter too much.

I've also posted here alerting newbies to not invest in Dogecoin and lose their cash, but as you say maybe some deserve it and have to feel it on their own skin. Some only learn this way, the hard way.

The thing is, Musk was already fined for market manipulation. But I think he will not be charged with anything now because his statements affect the crypto world.

Actually his statement did affect stocks, Tesla's stocks:

Also, some Bitcoiners did cancel their orders for Tesla cars and announced it loudly, in response for this mess.

However, this also enlight how crypto can be manipulated and needs some kind of control from the government.
--snip--
What?? No. Crypto can be manipulated but that doesn't mean that it needs "some kind of govt control". If someone puts in money based on Elon's tweets, its their problem not the government's.

Because, with Bitcoin doing a fork, ..
Bitcoin fork..What fork??

Ethereum doing a fork and Elon giving the SEC a reason to bite and legalize the crypto under strict oversight only, which will end most of the crypto by making them illegal in US and Europe. The consequences for your portfolio will be huge.

What do you think?
I don't understand how you are linking the Ethereum forks to SEC etc.?? Elon's tweet are possibly just a pre-emptive action about potential questions they may face for accepting bitcoin for Tesla. Or someone just gave him shit advice regarding the optics of an EV company accepting Bitcoin. All this talk about other cryptocurrencies that use "less" power is just theory. Try running an actual sound money system on a Proof-of-(insert some shit here) model. As soon as the stakes begin to get high, you start seeing cartels and all sort of centralized corruption.

So Bitcoin isn't going anywhere. As far as the portfolio is concerned, well that depends on how much someone has diversified into shitcoins. The risk vs reward will always be there in this senseless market.

Didn't expect that you would agree that some of them deserves the losses because they are a sycophant and just buys what those people say. I forgot that we also have to be thankful for then because they are the reason for the price pumps.

I knew from the beginning that Elon is just making hay while sun is shining. He will be the first one to jump off the ship if it shows even a small sign of sinking.
He made tons of money by promoting doge and now he dropped a bomb shell.
Now price will fall and he will buy more, next he will again make some statement and stupids will start following him.

I personally do not suffer from worshiping people like EM, he is just an ordinary manipulator who has the same goal as everyone like him - to earn as much money as possible, regardless of what needs to be done to reach that goal. I think he knows very well how much influence he has and that he can use it at any time. People have once again shown that they are ordinary sheep and that they are going in the direction they are being directed - you can read the rest of my comment here.

His tweets mean nothing if people don't over value him and his tweets. Why Tesla is important for Bitcoin? There are and will be more institutional investments. The capital investment from Tesla can be done with another or a few other institutes.

Bitcoin adoption won't be changed much by Tesla and people were cheated by Elon and Tesla. Will Elon come back and say after months of research, he sees is the best and Tesla will accept Bitcoin again. It will be funny.

Years ago, Elon was investigated by his tweets SEC Probes Tesla CEO Musk’s Tweets

I invest in Bitcoin not because of Elon, Tesla or any tweet. Institutes come and go, let them be but Bitcoin will be what it be.

Imagine this. He is buying more bitcoin now with the discount price. Once his bag is full then he will make a positive tweet about Bitcoin and price goes back to normal I mean around $60k again. Musk gain even more! Those small investors are the one who always lose, unfortunately.

Anyway, I do not think this crash is something to be worried. Bitcoin has its own pace. One or two may be able to manipulate the market but it won't stay long.

It's a shame that some newcomers depend on Elon Musk, who, despite the uproar, will continue to buy more bitcoins in the dip and will own a large percentage of the market to dominate it. That's what I'm thinking right now, and it might happen if things keep going this way.

However, those who join the hype train because of Elon cannot be blamed because it is a simple profit for those who join the hype train. But they should now understand that we're investing because bitcoin is so powerful, not Elon Musk.

That is definitely untrue.  Look at Jeffrey Epstein, Harvey Weinstein et al*.  Good little leftists until they suddenly were of no use and were tossed overboard to be devoured by the mob.  They thought that the mob wouldn't come for them and that they were invincible, but the reality was that once they'd outlived their usefulness they were expendable and all their money did no good.

The rule doesn't have to do with money, it has to do with the woke mob.  As long as person X is stating the right things and donating to the right causes and the mob hasn't turned on them, they are fine.  Once the mob comes for them, they are toast even if their offense was jaywalking.

Look at what happened to Antonio García Martínez (ex-Facebook, now ex-Apple).   He wrote things that people disagreed with and his hispanic-ness didn't save him.  Likewise neither did wealth.  Was it anything criminal?  Doesn't seem like it, but the fascist mob came for him and he was fired by Apple after a few days.  (Freedom of association is a great thing, Apple used it here, but should that be something he's fired for???)

Nothing is impossible! Elon may or may not work with the enforcement agencies but there is no way to find out the truth unless and until Elon himself confirms that. But the market is reacting to Elon's action, because of the trust factor. Elon really is a remarkable visionary. That's the reputation he has exploited while giving a huge boost to cryptos.

But I believe, in sometime the crypto market will become immune from his comments and actions the way we have made ourselves immune from Jemie and Warren.

Yes! I think Elon Musk is working with the commission! I really feel like they are playing around with the people they see as pawns and I really find it unfair. I don’t on that tweet he has posted, a lot of people would remove their respects to him. And that would hurt him a lot.

The only reason why Elon Musk was able to influence the crowd is that they believe that this guy is reasonable. But on this part, he doesn’t know. And I really pity the people who are trying to play safe and people who are trying to escape things they don’t have to escape. I don’t really like how people’s minds work. I should keep playing with my video games then. Good luck!
