What website are you talking about? If you are complaining about the fees associated with multi-sig, then how is setting up a new multi-sig wallet going to help you? Surely you just want to withdraw the coins out of the multi-sig wallet and to a regular wallet in that case?

Bitcoin fees are good at the moment. We are consistently chipping away at 1 sat/vbyte transactions. Why are you losing so much money on fees?

If the website is setting up a multi-sig wallet for you and asks you for your xpub, then you need to give them an xpub specifically from a multi-sig set up and not just an xpub from your standard wallet. You must also receive their xpubs to be able to recreate the same multi-sig wallet on your system so you can sign from your associated private key. What wallet software are you using on your computer to try to recreate the multi-sig wallet?

I assume that the website in question is a darknet site of some description which is why you will not give the name?

What did you mean by you are losing a lot of money?
I do not see any relation with losing money because of regular and multi sig wallet. A Bech32 wallet may save your fees if that is your concern and here again you said that fees are not your concern.

After reading the responses I am assuming you want to set up the multi sig wallet in your website which will require coding knowledge and stuffs. You can hire a freelancer who can do it for you. But if you want to know how a multi sig wallet setup works and steps then feel free to visit this site and learn about it.

You can get help for free if you can provide the necessary info, try to answer these:

• Do you know how many cosigners your Multisig address has and how many signatures are required to be able to send transactions?
  That's usually labeled as 2-of-3 multisig or 2-3 multisig, where '2' is the number of required signature and '3' is the number of cosigners.
  Because if either of the info is wrong, the addresses that you'll restore will be different.
• Do you have enough seed phrase(s) or master private key(s)? You need to have at least the same amount as the "required signatures".
  If you have, do not share them to anyone.
• Do you have enough master public key(s) to fill the number of cosigners used to create the MultiSig address?
• What wallet/website are you using?
  Depending on its setup and/or "keys" you have, you may be able to re-create it to a wallet that supports MultiSig.

There was another site I helped another user with a while back where the wallet on their account on this website was a 2-of-3 multi-sig. The service generated one set of keys and gave the xpub to the user, asked the user for one xpub, and generated a seed phrase to be backed up offline as the third "emergency" key. It sounds like the site has asked OP for an xpub, OP has given the website the xpub from his standard non-multi-sig wallet, and is now confused that the funds aren't showing up in his standard wallet and he isn't able to sign multi-sig transactions.

No, the site will give you two xpubs which you need to create the 2-of-3 multi-signature wallet and you have to give them just one xpub (yours).
This is how most services that act as escrows work.

@op, the service you are using must give you 2 xpubs and request 1 xpub. Create a new 2-of-3 multisignature wallet (here is how to do it with Electrum: https://electrum.readthedocs.io/en/latest/multisig.html || just replace require 2 of 2 by require 2 of 3 and enter the two xpubs you were given) then give the xpub generated by your wallet to the service.

When you request a withdrawal, the service will send you a partially signed raw transaction which you have to import into the wallet you created, sign it then broadcast it.
