You can see bitcoin consumed around 707/kWh for each transaction. While you see XRP, DOGE and Cardano only used much lower than bitcoin.

From Elon's tweet, he said, he and TESLA is looking for any coin which has using <1% of what bitcoin used, so with simple math, we get 707*1% = 7/kWh for each transaction.

XRP only using 0.0079 / kWh
DOGE using 0.12 /kWh
Cardano using 0.54 /kWh

There is a COIN which has lower kWh for each transaction, and  it's NANO coin ( only using 0.000112 / kWh)

Biggest speculation for bitcoin replacement on TESLA is, NANO coin or DOGE coin. Why not XRP? isn't it has lower energy usage than DOGE? Well, You must be know the reason. Yesterday, Elon has tweet about "Do you want TESLA accept Dogecoin?" I think that's just like a hint from Elon Musk.

I will prefer to pick doge rather than NANO and why? i do believe if elon already analyzed the doge coin before he was publishing the voting about the doge coin to be accepted as a payment system for the tesla vehicles.
Nano was a dag coin but it doesn't liquid like doge. There's a big gap between doge and nano in terms of liquidity.

Nano is increasing a lot since there's a rumor about nano being a candidate to replace BTC.

In my opinion: If Tesla switches to another currency then it will not be a PoW currency at all. So Doge is out of question. Nano is interesting, but so are lots of other PoS cryptos out there. ETH will switch to PoS soon, and many other have always been PoS.

I know the Nano community is really pushing this narrative, but I don't see them superior in comparison with for instance Waves. Was Nano ever mentioned by anybody outside of the Nano-fan-community for a reliable store-of-value or money-sending currency?

Your analysis is good, but it ignored a key point, which is the market capacity and the spread of that currency. I do not expect that the marketcap of the NANO coin will qualify it as the first coin that Tesla will accept.
Tesla may accept many cryptocurrency pairs, but the best guess so far is ADA coin.
Some analyzes may prove XRP but I think they have legal problems that will make it impossible.
Eth may be the future option and Elon Musk's tweet will throw a big stone into that pool.

I don't think he will add any other coin so people can buy their Tesla's with. The only other coin I can see being added is maybe ETH but that is POW also, so until it goes POS which is years away I don't see it being added. If he added ETH then he can add Tether or USDC which would make sense, however until it goes POS its POW is using alot of electricity currently.

Same with Doge, its POW. And even if Doge was POS, I don't think they would use it as a currency. Nobody really owns any doge aside from speculation and that can quickly change if there is a bear market and 99% of all speculators all sell for a loss. Its not a popular currency besides the last 4 months. Same with all the other currencies listed.

NANO would be a really big change because it does not require as much energy at all, but DOGE surprises me because it is still energy intensive if it gets to the level of BTC and even ETH's POS. Elon needs to understand well the cost and balance between security and cheapness. Just because it takes energy does not mean it is not effective (as a security measure like BTC). Just because it does NOT take energy does not mean it is good.

That's what all billionaires do it seems or otherwise they wouldn't be billionaires. Take Jeff Bezos and his Amazon packaging centers or Steve Jobs and his assembly centers in Asia. Even Bill Gates is said to be a rude and unfair boss. That doesn't mean I endorse that behavior in any way, I just feel like it is difficult to stop.

Dogecoin replacing bitcoin? And Elon musk going to make that happen? Am going to be watching to see how this really plays out, how did we even get here,? How did one man acquire so much power to now control all that happens in the crypto currency market, all this Elon musk stuff are just beginning to piss me off, I have this feeling that if something is not done about this whole Elon musk stuff, we will definitely get to a point where the crypto market will easily be manipulated by him, and this I feel is gonna create alot of problems for the entire crypto market moving forward, but anyways, like I said, am just gonna sit and watch how this whole thing plays out, we've succeeded in turning Elon musk to a God in crypto, this won't be good in the long run.

Maybe this is the reason why Elon tweeted about working with doge dev to improve the efficiency of their transactions, which means, finding a way how to reduce the energy consumption around it. Nano has not been mentioned ever on his tweets. So high likely, that he is eyeing doge to be the replacement of bitcoin in terms of payment options. XRP is also a good candidate but it depends on Elon himself. Now that he is promoting doge, maybe he will find a way how to reduce its energy consumption.
