Stop Worshipping Elon Musk

For years and years, I've been talking about how Elon Musk is the most overrated person on the planet. How he hasn't invented anything. How the Tesla company is taking a shit on Nikola Tesla's name.

But I did it somewhat halfheartedly because I thought that it's cool that someone is making electric cars. It's quite clear though that Elon's cars are too expensive and they're probably going to be made in an anti-consumer fashion where you won't be able to repair them yourself or buy parts off the shelf but have to fork more money to Elon.

Over the years Elon's projects have gotten more and more retarded and I can't believe people still worship him and the media still takes his promises without question.

It's all so unbelievable to watch.


Take his hyperloop idea. Someone came up with that in 1799:

In 1799, George Medhurst of London conceived of and patented an atmospheric railway that could convey people or cargo through pressurized or evacuated tubes. The early atmospheric railways and pneumatic tube transport systems (such as the Dalkey Atmospheric Railway) relied on steam power for propulsion.

Elon Musk not only is trying to sell this idea as his but people also worship him as some sort of genius inventor/ superhero, like he is a real life Iron Man and hyperbolic nonsense like that.

Not only is it not an original idea, but it's not even a good one. If you wanna get into specifics Thunderf00t has a lot of content on the topic on his YouTube Channel.

The idea didn't work in the 1799-1950 era and it doesn't work now. It's not practical unless you have infinite resources and advanced technology. Maybe in the year 2400 it will work right after we invent teleportation and everyone will have 5 sex robots retrofitted into personal assistants.

Also his space efforts are really CO2 intensive. You can't argue this guy is good for the environment when SpaceX is proposing to take passengers on ballistic trajectories from one place on earth to the other (see SpaceX BFR). That's another idea that will never work.

most cars for the last couple decades use parts that come from the very same factory as the original car.
where by. the aftersales of parts actually cost more by going through third parties. as they add on their own profits.
so although you think you are having a freedom. by choosing between 7 different local mechanics to service your vehicle. they are the ones with the real freedom of emptying your pockets with their add-on costs.

think about it.. steam inside a sealed tube with no ventilation.. .. well if you have ever boiled an egg in a kitchen steamer. you can probably guess what would happen to the passengers

so elons hyperloop is nothing like the 1799 idea.

but for elon. a hyperloop is not really an idea for earth. its a sandpit test to develop something he can sell as a service for mars.

What Elon Musk does is making the theoretical work into motion, it is science. There is theoretical and experimental, and although it is sad to say, but Experimental scientist normally takes all the glory even though theoretical does all the math and the concept while experimental does the product and the overall usable item that is theorized.

Another thing, Musk not just rediscover and materialize ideas, he also innovates the idea to be set in motion.

The thing about paper works that is theorized is that it will remain in paper unless someone do the work to make it into reality, and MUSK did it. Imagine your citation is decades ago yet it is only now when it is finally materialized and became a product.

The courage to believe in someone is what Musk done, and you might even have the courage to do so, but your envy is so full that you want him to be "FAKE" in your eyes

it's just that what makes a lot of people disappointed is Elon said Bitcoin is the cause of environmental damage. We all know that the energy consumed by the miners will have less of a negative impact on the environment than the battery factories and nickel mines it is running.

and what makes us disappointed is why he made Tesla accept Bitcoin in the first place if in the end Tesla didn't do that anymore.

If its Elon right to put bitcoin symbol, its his right to accept bitcoin in tesla and then stop doing it. It's his company and he is free to do anything.

What we need to do is stop getting disappointed on things which are not in our control.

This is true.  In the end Bitcoin is guided by math, not feelings.  As long as you take a macro trading view, this nonsense doesn't matter at all.  I am disappointed in Elon though.  He's pretty much making a mockery of crypto by pushing dogecoin and now acting like PoS is the way to go.  It's like watching a newbie discover Bitcoin, only he's got billions of dollars and millions of followers to play with.

I don,t really know that much about him. Its kind of like background noise. I've heard he wants to build a space station on a remote island in Papua Indonesia, which kind of shows that he doesn't really give a crap about the environment or people traditional land, and then he wants to talk about bitcoin emissions which basically tells me that he is just manipulating the market. Here is another reason. Metal expands when hot. Unlike rails which do not need vacuum seals the hyperloop could never survive that.

Here are other stupid ideas by "Genius" elon musk. Dig tunnels under cities to move more cars into cities with already inadequate parking. Make the tunnels so small that an accident or fire will suffocate everyone in the tunnel.

Take Zip2 for example. The code he wrote was absolutely useless so none of it was used. Professional programmers had to re-write anything that Musk wrote.

Take Tesla for example. He wasn't a founder of the company, he simply put a lot of money in it. He didn't really contribute to the design and making of the car and he fucked over one of the initial founders who was supposed to get the first car off the line.

Take the idea of the hyperloop and his original white paper which burns with the power of 1000 facepalms.

Every time his company launches humans there is about a 5% chance I figure that they all die. Maybe it won't happen today, or this year but we'll see it in the news.


Elon Musk gets off on being worshipped and thought of as smart. He is the epitome of a pseudoscientist and I hate that. People like that get celebrated while someone like the actual Nikola Tesla died poor and with extensive mental illness.

He stood behind it by not allowing people to buy Teslas with Bitcoin any longer. He probably sold off most of the Bitcoin that he held. What did the Musk-worshipers do? They pulled out of Bitcoin just like Musk, and the whole crypto market dumped.

Guess what's starting to happen right now? Bitcoin is reversing. And nobody really knows where it is going. It might dump lower, but when it gets low enough, Musk will buy back in, and so will his worshipers... having made a fortune in crypto. Watch and copy the Musk worshipers.
