If Elon Musk launches then, I would certainly invest more on his coin. Why? Is it because the coin was created by Elon Musk? No, the business behind his name. The coin is going to be used to pay him back if anyone is going to purchase his brand cars or etc. The coin is going be much valued as his business grows obviously. 

The objective is his business not his name. As an investor I would better see it from business aspect rather than blindly investing.

Everyone can do whatever they want with their money, however it is obvious to me that Elon is looking to make some easy money and what better way than to use newbies that are going to believe in whatever he says and that will basically give him his money for free? To me it is not a good idea to invest in that hypothetical coin because he has shown that he does not care about anything but himself, and while he will not scam newbies as that will put a dent to his image he will surely disappoint them if he were to release his own coin as it will be nothing more but a money grab.

Depending on how they hype would be built of because even he do have some bad reputation  on this community but once the hyped been established then you could  really expect that this coin would be sold out in no time.

In the past, he manipulated the cryptocurrency market multiple times (by promoting shitcoins such as Doge). He was able to avoid legal action, because no one could prove that he personally benefitted from the manipulation. But this will change, in case he comes up with his own coin. He can no longer say that no personal benefits are being made, in such a situation.

I think that if Elon Musk launches his own crypto related project, he will instantly receive claims for market manipulation and fair competition. Some will use his project to earn, others will claim him as a scammer, because "he has created that just to get rich". I am pretty sure that even in that case he will be able to get away with it, right now Elon is the golden boy and everyone thinks highly of him so he can get away with a lot of things that will be impossible for us, however if the time comes in which he falls out of grace with the powerful then that is when they could use this against him so I doubt he is going to be so open about this, especially since we know what happened to Zuckerberg when he wanted to release his own coin.

Considering the total capitalization of the market then we can say that he isnt really that capable enough on driving off markets in literal manner or lets say with money but rather he could really make big effects
