At the point in time almost all altcoins are green I don't know if it's because of the Ethereum upgrade or they is something else attached though bitcoin price is doing pretty fine.
For coin with recent highs that are doing pretty fine is Solana and NEAR. The Solana got a new ATH of $74 and I know the team behind are pretty strong and also NEAR got a new high though not the ATH  but it got up to $4. This NEAR protocol is another coin with a strong back up team and my regret is selling at 3.4 usd am feeling my bags soon for the next high.

I think From and Cardano are really good and a user friendly. For me despite those coin are potential, Elon most concern is the Doge token. Maybe the meme coin may give home more money that he definitely manipulate the motion every now and then. In my opinion Doge is the only one.

but can't altcoins like ADA and tron still be manipulated by Elon Musk considering how much money he has? even though if Elon Musk plays his capital in Cardano the profits will be even more

Maybe its not really profitable for him to influence the markets of coin you mentioned and he didnt manipulate the market using money in my opinion but influencing people who follows him and it can't even be said that elon is truly trying to manipulate the market, I see he never shows that clearly.

It can be also because he didn't get interested in coin like that but more interested in meme coin just for fun. In my opinion I think these coins you mentioned are more green than doge thats already accepted by tesla because PoS.

PoW coins that's relatively low in traffic, newly created with low amount of miners or PoS coins. elon's view regarding energy consumption feels so random though, he prefer coin that's green but choose doge instead even though there's other coins that are greener and better. however, Nano have been discussed a lot recently and people keep saying that it's greener than doge by a lot so maybe nano is the good option here if we're talking about low energy consumption.

Well you might probably be right but I feel one's answer to such a question is limited to what he/she is familiar with as there are tons and tons of coins  that one might probably not know about. In my opinion, one of the most green coins right now is $CWS, Seascape Network token. You could have a look at it...

There are many coins out there that can be considered green coins or environmentally friendly coins. I would say this label basically fits to every coin out there that is not mined via proof of work but via proof of stake or has a masternode functionality. To take a coin all you basically need is a rasperry pi in most cases and those little devices have a energy consumption of 1 to 3 W which is nothing. You can also send your PoS coins to a centralized exchange where the exchange basically stakes the coins for you and gives you an APY for that, but of course that is not so good because it makes the projects more centralized if very big stakes are controlled in one single wallet or by a single exchange.

It is difficult to predict when a currency will go up because the market keeps going up and down. The bitcoin crypto market is at the top of all currencies and the demand is higher than any other currency. It didn't take long for the market to turn red despite the green currency moves but cardano is in a much better position to invest in altcoins. I don't believe in Elon's consideration about energy consumption. I believe his concern was about market manipulation to get more money out of it and he succeeded. I'd still wanna go for other top-performing altcoins. Aside from ETH, there's also ADA, LTC, and BNB.
Another best option is Stakenet's XSN. An undervalued promising gem. They're currently gearing up for big and important updates. One of those is the upcoming public launch of their Layer 3 Stakenet Dex.

I definitely will go for Cardano. A lot of development on a daily basis.. And in the coming weeks, Cardano smart contract will be going for alonzo purple upgrade by 12th of Sept. 21 which certainly will help boost the price and all. Its no doubt ADA is here to stay.

I would select Ethereum, it will switch to PoS and be a very green coin. Ethereum is really innovative.
I would not select Cardano and Tron because outdated coins have no future. Cardano and Tron were invented for so many years, had only promises and disappointed coin holders.

Nevertheless, when Elon Musk says that he wants Bitcoin to be greener he means that Bitcoin should use renewable energy for mining, but not to switch to PoS.

I agree, at the time he decline Bitcoin, its not because Bitcoin not a PoS coin, but its because bitcoin mostly use coal as the source of the electricity which is against Tesla vision.
But if theres another coin that used PoS mechanism which is cost very minimum energy to run the blockchain, isnt it a better option? I expect the trending of Green coin will lead to PoS coin in the future, EOS or Tron could be an option.
