Elon Musk is an influential, if controversial public figure. The wealthiest man alive with a vision for the future, but a penchant for divisive tweets and public statements that has captured the imagination of part of the crypto space for better or worse. His influence on Doge is brazen, and Tesla's high profile interactions with Bitcoin have grabbed headlines this year as well.

However, the crypto markets were sent reeling recently when the TechnoKing announced to the world that Tesla would no longer be accepting bitcoin payments after citing environmental concerns, though they had no plans to divest themselves further of current holdings.

This has sparked a wave of backlash, anger, and the emergence of a token on the Binance Smart Chain called "StopElon" which has surpassed $3 million dollars in market cap recently. The creators of this token have the following criticisms of the tech billionaire:

1) Tesla and Elon both must have been aware of the environmental impacts of bitcoin mining from the outset. To come out months later with these concerns after spending 1.5 billion dollars on the asset seems manipulative. Many articles compare the environmental costs of mining Bitcoin and authenticating transactions on the block chain favorably to traditional financial system transaction costs and gold mining operations around the world.

2) Immediately following this, Elon posted: "Working with Doge devs to improve system transaction efficiency. Potentially promising." It should be noted that, in the past, Elon was personally pumping Doge the whole time Tesla was buying Bitcoin. It should be noted that a recent anticipated Saturday Night Live appearance disappointed fans of Dogecoin earlier in the week though it is holding strong since.

3) Tesla has already profited significantly off of its Bitcoin investment, but the details of halting payments for its vehicles in the digital asset were only released well after closing out 10% of its holdings for a massive profit.

It's clear that the token developer and supporters would like Elon Musk to stop orchestrating pump and dump news cycles around various cryptocurrencies and focus more on his business ventures

With the recent surge in popularity of the token, (and other knock-offs of a similar name,) it's clear his critics are seeking ways to express themselves. This token may be interesting to watch in the future as controversial moves and comments seem to be a regular occurrence for Elon.

this is the problem here. is the project using the name of elon just to gain sympathy from others? i have the feeling also that this is just another money-grab project. they are criticising elon, and yet, they have the potential to ruin some of users' funds. what are their tangible plans on how to stop elon from doing what he is doing? i don't think they have the capability to stop him from his business agenda.
for those that will be attracted by their vendetta, not only think twice but many times over, this will be the fast way to screw your funds, not because of elon's tweets.

Even someone already created a petition for elon and he was publishing his petition on the altcoin discussion section. this could be a protest token and the same time money grabber token. We didn't need this one. Basically, people can prevent it by not following elon. When he was tweeting for doge and if we didn't buy doge and FOMO will not happen. These days people are thinking irrationally caused by they greed to earn profit from the market.

1) This is a shitcoin. I think it is a shitcoin that has a likely path to large gains in the short to medium time frame simply because Elon is genuinely turning the entire crypto market against him and people are seeking ways to EXPRESS themselves in this regard.

Yes. That's a shallow use case, but it's a bit more than some of these other garbage projects. At the very least there's an actual event around it.

Compare this to ElonGate and I think it at least compares favorably in terms of theme and relevance.

2) You may say that the best course of action is to simply *not engage* with Elon. I think that's the long term. But in the short term, the reality is that this single individual has tanked the entire market.

There will be a time for ignoring. This token is the time for addressing.

Did you ever check how to create a Token on Binance Smart Chain? It is super easy, you just need to pay a specific amount of BNB to create a token there. In this case I would definitely not call someone who can doa few clicks a "dev". Everyone can do that very easily and it is an insult for every "real" developer.

He's only good at making a profit for himself, using his reputation for it. I think right now a lot of traders are experiencing losses due to prank that he did on one of the crypto coin. It's indeed, it didn't matter, but gradually he would lose his reputation.
