Yes, I admit if Elon does have the power to manipulate the market and I hate this.
Although basically Crypto Market only depends on the market itself, it cannot be denied if the role of Elon is very large. The big-name of Elon is a reference for many people, especially new people in Crypto. So what is said by Elon will usually have an impact on them to buy or sell in large quantities.

Sooner or later, people will see that what Elon did is wrong, so they will not follow him anymore. The crypto market will not always follow what it says and will move by itself depending on its demands. Besides that, the crypto market will be back to normal situations, but we need to be careful because, in the future, many people like Elon will do the same thing as him. We can follow them, but we need to be careful and always analyze before we decide.

I thought that as well as soon as I heard that nonsense about bitcoin not being "green" enough for him.  Dogecoin isn't exactly green itself, yet Musk had no problem hyping that coin up--and yeah, there's no doubt he understood how bitcoin was mined before he publicly lent his support to it before withdrawing it.  It does indeed look like he was trying to manipulate the market for his own gain (though looks can be deceiving, and that certainly might not be the only reason for his quick turnabout).

In any case, bitcoin looks to be rebounding nicely in the past day.  Hopefully the damage that Elon Musk's statements did can be quickly undone, but who knows.  Bitcoin isn't even back to $40k yet.

The deal is that SEC suppose to be the one that can stop him, but that is on stock market. For example, if Elon Musk talked about how "x stock" is good the way he talks about doge or the way he talks bad about bitcoin, if he did that for stocks, that would usually be bad and he would definitely have a problem with manipulation charges from the SEC. However since he is doing it for the crypto world there are no laws regarding that.

It is very obvious that Elon Musk is trying to manipulate the market. As we all know he is a man that knows much about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, even if he did not know about Bitcoin mining, we all know how he can easily get information about it and know Bitcoin mining mostly make use of green energy. The man is trying to manipulate and want his favorite coin, doge to be in place of Bitcoin, even if ethereum has been unable to do that, he will try harder but not achieving that.

He says Tesla will be accepting coins that make use of less than 1% of the enegy Bitcoin uses for mining, although Doge make use of PoW too, but it fit into that category, and used the privilege to form together that false news about Bitcoin. The man is certainly manipulating as he may want people to fomo and buy more Doge.

This is not going to last long, Elon Musk is having fun with us and manipulating the market as he wants there is no way to deny this, but once weak hands are shaken out of the market and only people like us remains then no matter what he does he will find huge resistance to whatever he does.

Because Elon Musk is rich and leads some big companies, there are always people who still follow him. Even though it has been proven that
Elon Musk manipulated prices for his own sake, Elon Musk still has the influence to be able to manipulate  the Bitcoin market. This is something
the crypto community is afraid of, because Elon Musk can still make the market even more chaotic. So in the end there is not much we can do
but ignore Elon Musk, and focus on more important things. By buying Bitcoin now, because even though the price of Bitcoin has gone back up

As discussed manytimes in the previous post, this argument is extremely difficult to prove. And that is why Elon is so brazen about his open manipulation tactics. Elon doesn't own any coins directly. So it can't be said that he is benefitting from the fluctuations in the exchange rate of either Bitcoin or Dogecoin. Even if we claim that his friends are benefitting from it, we need to prove that there is a solid link with Elon for these fund inflows. I know that the SEC is closely monitoring the situation, but at this point there is hardly anything that they can do.
