Dogecoin does not have a better technology of the transactions than Bitcoin. Have you forgotten that it's a fork? It just uses other settings on the block generation. Yes, Dogecoin block size is bigger than Bitcoin's. You should consider though, that this has also its disadvantages, the 1MB Bitcoin block size wasn't a blind guess.

He definitely isn't this kind of person. But what kind of project is Dogecoin? Can you give me an example of a problem that is solved by Dogecoin and only Dogecoin? Why wouldn't someone go with Litecoin for example, which is also faster in transactions than Bitcoin and the majority of its coins isn't owned by whales and big investors. (in contrast with Dogecoin)

The fees is cheap because the trading isn't really high compared to Bitcoin, however the fees of Dogecoin is going up compared before.

The bigger problem of the technology is it's tail emission (google it), which is way too big and it's by design.
So the proper way to improve it is to make a new coin.

You have to learn what stable coin means. And Dogecoin is accepted by most exchanges and it didn't help it. And the merchants had so many years to accept it, they do accept Bitcoin and still didn't accept Dogecoin. Why that? Because it's .. "superior"?

I have personally chosen Dogecoin because of its very low fees and high trading volume per day with low fees, and this is one of the first and most important reasons for the popularity of Dogecoin.

I'm not so sure about that. It would be better if the developers did not focus on one person and focus on the project and its implementation, because we all saw what happened to Bitcoin.

I am not against Dogecoin or any coin/token for that matter. But why should it rise be the demise of Bitcoin? Oh wait, it must be because of Mr. Elon Musk. For the past many months, the words of this man have become like a biblical quote that his followers and minions have to follow to the T. I am not against Elon Musk either, and I even admire his entrepreneurship streak -- in fact I envy his story. However, I don't think that any man or any personality should be given that power to influence Bitcoin. He is not an insider of Bitcoin. He was not there when Satoshi Nakamoto  was then conceiving of the idea, and he was not there when the first purchase was made...hell he did not eat any of the pizza purchased. This is precisely why I'm reluctant on buying BTC. The coin was created to be used on daily transactions, not to be stored and collect dust (literally.) You see, the majority of BTC holders (and there's no shame in that) are in it for the profits, not for the ideology. Only few members here on this forum believe in the BTC concept.

Now getting back to topic, how will BTC gain value in the future if the majority of holders are greedy? This is the main reason why I believe BTC will fail and a competitive coin will take place (or serve its purpose as a global currency.) The whales are also a threat to BTC

As many have said, it is a speculative asset and holds no real value (you are buying it expecting great profits in the future, not because you want to utilize it!)

I think it will be a collectible item in the future (explains why it has value) and never experience mass adoption.

1. DOGE's technology is just a clone from Bitcoin and it's worse than recent new projects.

2. Elon Musk is a trader and he will take profits if he makes enough profit. Elon Musk is only interested in his companies like Tesla, SpaceX and the technologies that make him money in the long run.

They can monetize new projects more easily. There are more new blockchains in need of their development than something renovating like DOGE.

Well said. We can only think of Dogecoin as a source of quick income. Keeping it as an asset can be too dangerous.
And it should be better to not compare Dogecoin with Bitcoin.
Dogecoin came into notice only due to of the owner of Tesla, Elon Musk.
And that too Elon Musk used it for his own profits in order to make himself some quick sort of money.
I am sure Bitcoin will again comeback and with this time even with greater fanbase than Doge.

I doubt it. Dogecoin may be getting used for mid term to long term investment options and I am sure no new technology will get power to beat bitcoins. Even there would be some all new technology will be incorporated into dogecoins, I am not ready to speculate like it will get power to flip bitcoins.

Probably dogecoin may compete against ethereum in near future. People will switch over to dogecoins from ethereum for short/long term benefits and I am seeing lots of possibilities for their success as well. Anyway as of now, we need to wait for Elon Musk to confirm whether he will continue with dogecoin or going to create an all new coin.
