My account had been banned for a post which I had copied while I was newbie and while I had 0 merit. I had earned 446 merit after that copy pasted post and no more copy pasted post at the time of 446 merit.

I remembered you were banned (permanent initally ?) and got a softer signature ban. You are a very few members who are actively posting without signature. I don't follow you up but remember it because we used to be in a same signature campaign.

Oh, I remember a couple of months ago I saw information about your account and a couple of other accounts in bpip ... but for some reason it seemed to me that the restrictions imposed on your account should have expired in April .. In any case, it doesn't matter anymore, so I congratulations on unlocking!

I Have noticed few moments ago and forgot that restriction should be removed at 13th may. I think restriction has been removed at 13th may as notification shown at the time of being banned.

When I read the headline, I thought that you got a perm-ban, and that by some miracle you got your account back - and it's actually that your signature ban has expired - which was no obstacle to using your account, unless you aim exclusively at the signature campaign. Since plagiarism is the most severely punished thing, you can be happy that you didn't get a perma-ban from which 99.99% banned didn't get away.

It doesn't matter when you made that post and how much merit you had at the time, forum rules very rarely make exceptions - or rather those who apply them.

I have not got perma ban, I got temp ban for two years and now that time expired. Many people said that 2 years ban is not nothing but they didn't understand they point what I wanted to say. Also any admin didn't replied regarding the ban. Anyway, now all is okay so I am happy.

You were?  Why do I see a bunch of posts made for the last few months?  I'm not accusing you of anything, just confused a little bit.  In any case, I'm pretty sure you've learned your lesson about plagiarism and won't have any future problems as far as that's concerned.  Your plagiarism was a lapse in judgement, but personally I believe in second chances as long as someone realizes where they screwed up and learns from those lapses.  We're all human.

Oh yeah, what ever happened to him?  I remember him getting into arguments on the forum but not any serious "drama" that would get him banned or necessitate him leaving bitcointalk.

shasan appealed his temporary ban on 17 May. My guess is that he was banned for a day until one of the admins saw his appeal thread on Meta and unbanned him. He could have also contacted the admins via private messages and got his account reinstated that way. Since he is wearing a sig, his signature ban got removed as well.

As far as I understand the essence of this thread, the thing is that the OP just wanted to say that he finally got the opportunity to use the signature again - which means that it's been 2 years since he got his signature ban. If we look at his post history, then it is evident that there is a gap between 14 May 2019 and 15 July 2019 which also clearly shows us that he has fully served his temp ban of 2 months.

So some have obviously misunderstood what this is about - neither is it a perma-ban that has been removed, nor is it that this was a 2 year ban - it is about the expiration of a 2-year signature ban.

Good to see you back shasan. It must have been worrying for you to lose access to your account. I know you conduct a lot of business via lending so you must have been worried. Glad the mod(s) came their senses & unbanned you.

I really don’t like the plagiarism ban rule. It could really do with being modified somehow.

Crap, you are absolutely right. I didn't pay attention to the years the two threads were written in at all. He started his ban appeal thread on May 17 2019 and the thread we are writing in now on 18 May but in 2021. I made the wrong conclusion that he was pardoned and returned after just a day in the penalty box.

LoL , I didn't leave or anything of that sort. I did got my signature ban uplifted ( like shasan ) on 14 May 2021 though.

I don't know who you are talking about, and what kind of clarifications you were expecting, but to my mind, the essence of this thread was obvious ... Shasan and I even exchanged a few words about this. Without saying that while wandering around the forum you should have seen that for a long time he went without a signature just continuing to give loans. But in general, I agree with you ... usually people do not wonder what others have published in front of them.

I think the OP is a good example as to why it is beneficial to allow for users to get second chances after breaking the rules in a serious manner. Obviously plagiarism has been a problem for a while, but a small number of mistakes should not result in someone who is genuinely interested in bitcoin to be removed from the community.

shasan was banned two years ago, regained his ability to post about two months later, and has been generally active with a signature ban since then.

I hope he has learned his lesson and will not plagiarize or do anything similar in the future.

I think all these  things is a huge lesson to people,most especially newbies that have not come across of such situations, banning of account weather temporary or permanent ban is a result of a mistake, which after passing or facing the penalty involve into it, it will enable a user to take adequate measure or precautions to certain extent, but actually base on violation of rules and regulations of the community and the penalty applicable or attached about it, people are now careful and conscious of rules.

Before, people don't really use their initiative for composition of letters because of online which contains already made and easy access to copy and paste work or articles, but since plagiarism and paraphrasing are one of the vital
conditions of forum, people have to reduce the rate of plagiarism to avoid temporary and permanent ban, i hope this is evidence of correction any one who are ignorant of rules of the institution can comprehend and take adequate correction for future purposes.
