Is it still okay to fake kyc in 2021?

It was never okay to fake kyc guys,,, not in 2021 and not any year at all. I did fake email for airdrops in the past,,, but these were because they were NOT KYC and just identification. I think it was enough to give them my wallet address why for my email as well or even mobile, right?

But to lie about identity to pass AML laws, a big no no.

I think it is a big problem. Faking kcy is not a good idea. Anyway, I don't know what is your real intentions to come up to that thinking. For me do not undergo KYC procedure if you think your personal information will leak sooner by the team. Of course privacy is important to maintain your personal information safe.

Do not participate in any presale if you are not comfortable submitting KYC. I don't see any problem submiting KYC if you have confidence in a project you are joining. If you think it is a scam why would you join in the first place. Faking KYC might cause you trouble, you might face serious legal problem for faking identity and also lose your opportunity joining IDOs.

Faking KYC will only get your trouble buddy and by doing that you'll put your self on harms way. I guess there are IDO you can participate that don't restrict countries and doesn't request full identification by that your information is safe.

Yes, KYC can't be tricked even though it can be faked but the consequences can be very fatal if one day it is found out, that's the reason why I don't want to deal with KYC myself or with things that require me to make KYC, except for the stock exchange only certain exchanges that I often use.

I know that many people use fake documents in order to participate in ICO, IDO and in general in other places where KYC is needed, in general, if you will use fake documents, this may affect your money that you will invest in any project, because your account can be blocked and you will not get money back, so it is best to use your documents or just bypass all projects where KYC is needed or you can buy someone real documents, people selling them how I saw too.

If you don't like to do KYC you should not participate it. Submitting a fake KYC is a really risky move because if they found out that you faking it, they will block you and you will not get a refund if you already participated IDOs..

Yes, if the intention is dishonest by making fake KYC, it is absolute fraud, because if you don't want to share KYC data with others, then it's better not to participate in any program including IDO.

The reason for kyc is simply because of regulations in different jurisdiction,  no one like to willingly walk into problems!  If your country does not allow some certain investment in Cryptocurrency,  then  you should abide buy the rules of your country.  If however  you are keen on participating in those kinds of investment,  you will need to go to other country that allow such  investment!

I care about others just like I care about myself, I don't want to put anyone in grave danger just because I want to make money, imagine using a stranger ID for KYC verification and the unexpected happens to them? The chances of this happening is slim for sure but why not take the risk by yourself? Also it's not a must to pass KYC to buy coins and we have P2P platforms too even Dex exchanges too

I’m sort of new to the scene but I’ve noticed how much money there is to be made in IDO’s. The problem of course is that almost all requires kyc and doesn’t except USA people. I read previous posts about this but the last was in 2018. So I’m wondering if anyone can provide their opinion on this... thanks 🙏😁😇😂

I don't think it was good Idea To faking your identity since it going to make another problem in the future, It's better to use your real identity but just make sure to pass KYC on trusted third-platform, Some IDO Protocol basically already implemented KYC Provider like Yoti, Sum & Substance, Refinitiv, etc. You just need to be more careful about your data and if you want to stay anonym just wait till it listed on public DEX or CEX. When a user is trying to protect privacy, he will do all the necessary to keep his privacy including the faking of KYC. It's really no up to us whether it's bad or not in the eyes of the public whichever judgement we could say to it. Hiding his identity will always be important for him and it's justified even with submitting fake IDs.

If he is faking IDs means he is about to make huge transactions. It's very daring so it's very risky.

No it wasn't because nowadays all the internet sites has their own way to find the cheaters and the sad thing is there are still tons of services about selling fake KYC to others and still there are becoming victim constantly.

You will be the only one that will suffer from this so better made up your mind or lose the chance forever.

Asking people for Passport pics and ID no or SSN for KYC is a normal practice but it has more disadvantage than advantages. Companies and projects should come up with innovative ideas to know their customers or collect the data that would help them and law enforcement agencies without putting risk for the users. Providing your real KYC should be avoided as much as possible.

The more serious the project, the more difficult will be to fake your ID. Apart from that, you are pretty much on the borderline of counterfeiting or faking identity which is probably not worth the minimal money you are going to get from Alts, etc... Just think twice because what you do stays registered for a long time and it may find its way to you in the future... or even worse, quickly in the near future.

If you are not allowed, you are not, period. Either write to your representatives to change the law of look for projects that accept you.

Fake KYC? I don't think it's a good idea, I know you want to hide your identity and want to get the reward. But, provide fake information can be a problem for you in the future if you can't prove with the real document, if you gave fake document I think it's a illegal thing and abuse the reward/event.

Better to looking the non-KYC IDO's rather than risking yourself.

I agree with you on this. There are definitely other good projects out there that will not be requiring you to do any form of KYC which can still bring good profits too. This is why we still hear that people get into trouble for something you know shouldn't have been because some people still want to deliberately go the wrong way by faking their KYC just to get into an IDO.

There are two ways that KYC could be done now these days and somehow it is getting stricter than what you even mentioned.
One that I encountered before is that they would ask for your selfie while holding the ID you submitted.
Another one is they would ask for live conference similar to what you mentioned, but this time to see your face live and interview you.

You're just putting your account at risk if you are going to fake the KYC verification of a particular platform especially if you have big amounts to put there. Platforms also want to protect their business by asking KYC so they can't be used as a medium for money laundering. I know that all of us don't want our identities to be sold on the black market or used in doing illegal things so we should also be careful about where we are providing our private information. If it is a reputable platform, then why will you be afraid of doing KYC.

If you want to get the reward from a particular project it's very necessary to put your real identity because they might ask for video calls before they distribute the reward, and also providing fake information can lead to a problem for you in the future if you can't prove with the real document.
Also it is illegal act and abuse the reward/event, it's better to look for a project without KYC.

After that, you will understand how much you need a real or fake KYS.
