Who did an exit strategy before the worst dip?

I am not yet, currently i hold only Bitcoin and it is only 0.002BTC. Maybe for people in here it look like small amount but with that i hope i can make something worthy so i am not do exit strategy but holding it with my own reason. Maybe some other people did that too.

Actually we can predict the dump will gonna happen as since dec'20 until Apr'21, bitcoin price always going up. Then we just need to spare some of our money to BUY more when the crash/dip comes like many days ago when bitcoin at $30,000. Many sure got rekt, but others even laughed because they are waiting for this moment to buy some promising coin with cheaper price

But I am wondering when he bought another extra 512 BTC in the dip, then why bitcoin did not show little up surge hnn?
May that wasn't enough money to cover those 500B I guess.

I think it is completely insane if people are not buying at this point, because they will surely regret it later.

Yes. it s just small. Hold it for long time, you won't be worrying after another bullrun.

I have exited when the price hit $50k but like you, some of the coins I have in my personal wallet are stuck there. I am willing to hold them for good, because that wallet survived since 2017 I guess the coins are just going to be there until I get into trouble and that's when I may decide to cash it out. Its not a loss if held for a long time because it was there before the price turned $20k.

Yes. it s just small. Hold it for long time, you won't be worrying after another bullrun.

Such days are also a good opportunity to buy more coins from our favorite sort if we have sold any of it to stablecoins previously.
At least, selling is not recommended at such low prices.

I don't know if that is a good idea to exit your investment even you know that you have a loss, it means you accept it and the loss was already there. Unlike if you keep holding g on to it, for example, if you have 1 bitcoin that will remain 1 bitcoin and nothing lose with you.

Right at this moment if you have bought bitcoin at the range price of $50k, it's better to keep hold and for sure there will always a new ATH of bitcoin price but we don't know when it will happen. Accept the REKT or there's a chance that you will recover it through keep holding.

For majority of the bull run, a large portion of my portfolio is in USDT while the rest was in a BTC and BNB on spots which got affected heavily due to the dip. Aside from my spot bags, I'm more tethered. I'm also affected but not as much as people that were balls deep in altcoins or people who were on futures and got liquidated. Either way, it's just bad because nobody expecting it and it gets even worse because you think that since you're buying the dip, you should be safe but it's not. People who jumped in after the initial dip got burnt as well. I'm just pissed at myself for not taking profits from my spot bags when I had the chance to. Now, I would've 2x my holdings while sitting on the sidelines for market for me to be rewarded. Yet another lesson learnt here.

And if I may add, as long as the alts you are holding are good ones like from the top alts, I think there's nothing to worry.
Because once the market recovers, and so with these alts. Unless, you mistakenly chose those pump and dump coins, which can easily be abandoned by their developers.

The majority of the people that posting like what you mention are those who FOMO and buy at peak. They are the fools money that drives the market up more during an uptrend. We can't blame them since they are the hero of the uptrend that's many of us got profit from there money though.

Well some of them are, some of them aren't. No hyped stuff like doge and shiba though I'm definitely not selling anything at current rates, unless absolutely necessary to release some cash.

I applaud you with all my heart. That is exactly how I am feeling, why sell bitcoin when you know that it will go up again? I mean there is no reason to cut losses and be done with it unless you are in the crypto world for a short period of time and you have absolutely no interest in staying here for longer.

There are few people like that and I understand them, there are people who get in, make a quick buck (or lose in this case) and get out, and those people will always exist, they prefer to be in fiat and they only care about their fiat amount and not even give damn about bitcoin and what happens to it, they could make a 100x profit and then all crypto world could crash and burn and be zero and they won't care as long as they got their own profit out in time. As long as you are not like that and care for crypto, there is zero reasons to get out right now when it is low, only time to get out is when you think you have enough and want to spend some of that in real life.

I think it is not only about greed but also about lack of experience. I could observe this last week with one of my friends:

Bitcoin dropped 5%, dropped 10%, dropped 20% and my friend gets more and more nervous and makes self-accusations like "I should have sold right away, I'm so stupid". Bitcoin then dropped another 5% and he presses the "sell" button in panic, of course at the absolute bottom and the price turns back up shortly after. What does my friend do? In panic get back in, because Bitcoin could now rise again to 100k ...

I don't know how many dollars he lost that day, but in my opinion it shows quite nicely what can drive inexperienced investors to "buy high, sell low".
