One thing i do always have in mind when i do trade is to secure out profits no matter how small the percentage is then that would always counts then make out some compounding

profit which you would be the one on handling out because you would make out decisions basing up with your skills/knowledge and experience.

You would really get wrecked if you do let yourself get greedy in times where opportunity is still in front of you but remember that this isnt always the same scenario could happen.

As long as btc above $20k i am still holding. In this cycle i bought relatively dip last year so i am not worry about this price ( still in profit ). I will set exit strategy if it is confirmed we are finish in bullish phase. I have set my target for btc  is above $100k. I know its very optimist but time will tell. Dont get shaken out by whale !!!

You are not at loss if you are not selling, although when you open your portfolio, you might see a -50% loss. And you can't do anything, just continue to hold and see how it goes in the next 6 months. I know it's mentally tough to see bitcoin down like this, but this corrections need to happen.

Others will argue that this is healthy in the long run, as investors and speculators like us, average Joe, can still invest at a cheap price. I also agree that we are not in the bearish trend similar to 2018 yet, to early to call that.

What can you do though, you sell at a 50% loss or do the rational thing which is hodling. And you did just that, I have similar experience with you so I understand how uneasy the feeling is with a lot of people cutting their losses.

It's a shame if you still hold Bitcoin, because the price of bitcoin is an indication that it is indeed a bearish trend,
my advice is that you better place a stop loss in your trading setup, because it can reduce losses and be able to buy back again,
if you only hold then you really are. strong people, we don't know what the future will be like, so don't be greedy

Catching up with them was not possible as bulls got a surprising dump that shook the markets and sucked out over 50% of entire crypto marketcap. Those were the bears who exited and made profits, not traders like us, who kept watching and waiting for markets to move.

It's a shame if you sold already after that decline although you didn't and in my case I still hodl the rest of it since I already got my profit when the price was at the level of $59k, it wasn't that bad though. I am still very bullish so I believe there's still a chance that it would come back again at the $50k+ range. It may not be breaking a new ATH but at least the price is quite high enough and that's great already.

Just keep holding your investment if you don't plan to make a profit during this dip. Many new investors are weak at holding once they saw a massive dump they automatically follow which isn't appealing since they are after for the profit, although everyone is really after for the profit that's why they were here. Just like what Elon Musk did he investment then take some and stop supporting Bitcoin because of a silly excuses.

I didn’t have any plans to exit the market at this time. But I did sell 70% of my overall assets when the market reached its highest and Bitcoin was above $60,000. And that’s because I felt it was too much already (calculating by the profit I have already made), so I left the rest there in case the market should go up further and I wasn’t bothered if the price was going to crash or not.

But the market has been going up again, although the increase is not really stable, because it keeps going back and forth from anywhere around $30,000 to $35,000 (currently at $36,000 now and I am hoping that it would sustain that and keep on going).

At least you put your TA skills into good use. But can you share what was the price of bitcoin when you sold it? And have you gained profits based on how much you bought it?

Still holding here and I just put my btc to flexible savings in binance. So at least while holding, earn some satoshis that may cover the losses.

The common problem that I saw mostly to holders is being greedy, they don't contend in x2, x3 profit but they are more preferred to x10. That is why many had missed the biggest opportunity we have in the past day. I don't suggest people do holding unless if it is necessary but to sell it once there is a profit. Well, of course, we also have to analyze the market first.
