I don't hear more hype from him anymore, or probably people are not biting his words as they got educated already. Dogecoin brings a lot of investors in the market, and as long as DOGE will stay stagnant, people would always look at it as evidence that they are wrong that they got carried away by Elon's hype.

There are flaws in every system. Crypto are certainly easier but their fair distribution is always a matter of discussion. One of the reason why people believe in fiat is, it is promoted by the government and central bank. For a crypto to be ahead of Fiat, they need to come from the government. I don't think we'll see privately created crypto replacing fiat anytime soon. Elon Musk on the other hand imagines to create his own world in Mars and he has clearly stated that crypto could be the form of money for Mars colony. If mars colony happens within our life time, it would be a great experiment to observe.

It supposed to be this way. Crypto investors need to forget about Musk and move on with the real value of crypto not alone with Bitcoin but with the whole concept of this market. The industry is designed to coexist with the fiat system. Musk sees opportunities, and he's using his influence to create artificial movement.

I believe after his first tweet that rallied Dogecoin Elon Musk probably thinks he can continue doing what he does and the market will bend to his will. This has proven not to be the case as many more tweets he has put out including the Dogecoin payments for Tesla Mech didn't move the price but he wants to be relevant to the general crypto market.
