Bitcoin has recently stole a lot of attention from many people, stocks investors nowaday also starting to make a research about cryptocurrency so atleast it's a good publication and considering the recent price rally that gets published by many media around the world is enough to make it hot topic I think.
Now that awareness of btc has increased so much it's only matter of time for bitcoin or its blockchain technology to be used for various sectors, after all this means some people also finding the real use case of cryptocurrency or even blockchain technology for their own benefit which could stimulate our blockchain community or the recent market dump has made people somewhat anxious and googling with keyword bitcoin just to check price, I mean google has built-in crypto price in their website like when you type btc it shows bitcoin and its price.

Crypto becomes even familiar to the ordinary people and then they are trying to search more information about crypto. it's good to see that happens even some people may feel skeptical about that consider they think the search volume will be related to the dump that happened with crypto but i don't even care about that. The world is finally adopting to cryptocurrency. Millions of people put more interest on daily basis and they are some that just follow the chart but are not interested on investing maybe because of the risk involved.
I'll say 70% Increase in the search was made because of the recent dip, everyone really wanted to know where the problem was coming from. I myself searched about twice.

IMO its doesnt matter as long there's many people become more aware enough about cryptocurrency technology, its like Internet in the beginning era.

Nothing surprising because these numbers bloat out when theres some hype that is currently happening in the market or lets say it did reach out all time highs where it is really
getting some attention which new comes do make search out of curiosity and this is why we do see these spike in numbers and when the market tends to be

That is not a sure thing, in fact the opposite seems to be happening, the OP states that we recently reached the high all time for the weakly volume of cryptocurrency searches which means that the crash that we are seeing brought more attention, which makes sense, this time around the media has not covered the increase in the price of bitcoin as much as before but as soon as the price went down they were making all kind of claims this was the end f bitcoin and similar stuff like that.

Cryptocurrency breaks search records every time that there is an event that happens. When the price crossed the 2017 ATH price , the search records on Google trends showed that cryptocurrency and Bitcoin holds the highest search.

So, I know for sure that the reason there is another trend in the search is because of the decrease that happened lately. But it’s always good because it’s going to be making a lot of people to know more about cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, and that means that they will all keep learning about it and some of them will pick interest and also invest in it. That’s how the community keeps growing.
