Well, less than 30 days and this POS is ded.  WTF? Apollo II, 1 TB.  Came home and it was off.  Won't power back on. Unplugged, let it sit, plugged it back in, nothing.  Any ideas?

There was a batch of miners with a bad power switch. You might need to flip/jiggle it to get it to work.  I actually opened my unit up and bypassed the switch, so it feeds power directly from the plug into the PSU.
But they'll replace the switch if you send it back.

Still waiting to hear from Futurebit to see if they will warranty my unit.  I don't want to open it up before I hear from them, but what are the steps to get to the switch?

Of course we will warranty, all Apollo II units have at least 6 months of warranty left. If you have a bad switch we can either setup an RMA or send you the replacement if you feel like swapping it out yourself to save downtime. It's a pretty easy snap in module, but you need to cut off the tabs or take both top and bottom covers off to squeeze the old one through the case.

I have sent 2 separate emails to your support team and have received zero replies. Sent the first one on 11/19/24 and the second one on 11/21/24....

New release is finally out...apologize once again for this being over a month late but this should have squashed a large number of bugs and should be super stable before we start working on a big 2.1 feature release.

As always if you do an OTA update please wait at least half an hour or simply close the tab out and start a new one and wait for the UI to come up (if UI shows 0% update has finishes and you can refresh)

2.1 will also include a new update mechanism that will eliminate update failure and make process way smoother

Apollo OS v2.0.6 - 11/26/24

https://github.com/jstefanop/apolloapi-v2/releases/tag/v2.0.6

New Changes in v2.0.6:

- Redesigned Solo Miner Page making it easy to keep track of multiple miners/wallets mining on the solo pool! Stats are organized by individual wallet addresses, and each wallet address can have multiple workers  (ie address.worker1 address.worker2 etc).
- Node connection count has been upped to 64 connections by default for more robust peering especially during solo mining
- Pesky 32bit and graphQL errors have finally been squashed...small number of users that were affected by this should not see this again
- UI improvements, especially for small format screens and mobile UI
- Improved reliability of node startup during boot, which should reduce "Connection Refused" Node errors for some users
- Multiple UI bug fixes, and backend improvements

Update completed, all seems well with Futurebit other than inop HDMI port. The newest Etcher version works fine for flashing the new MCU2 v2.0.6. Old Etcher (v1.18.11) fails to load on my Mac now, advises to immediately dismount or will cause damage.

For us having no issues running v2.0.05 is there any reason to update to v2.0.6 and just wait for v2.1 ?

If you dont use solo mining with multiple devices/addresses or have seen any of the graphQL 32 bit errors then you are probably good, updates always include latest security and package patches for the UI though.

Just updated my three node units (all solo mining to one node) with no issues. Well done and thank you for this wonderful product!

Can you reboot it remotely? Wouldn't suggest doing an update unless you can physically access it in case the update fails and you need to reflash the SD card.

I just ran my gen 2 node and that update went perfect. I rebooted the old node but still no local access. The node and additional miner are running though as I can see them in the solo mining dashboard. I just can't access the dashboard for the old node remote or direct.

I upgraded my gen 1 node - I just use http://futurebit-apollo-btc/miner to access it - maybe that will work for you

Ok,

I saw the indicator telling me I can update to the new version.  My Miner and node were all stopped.  I clicked on update and the download began.  However, at 30% My node started up and my update is stuck at 30%  Now its been a few hours, not 30 minutes.  What is stuck and why?  How do I fix this?  It says don't shutdown or restart until update complete.

Same thing happened to Red Panda Mining.  He just posted a video on it, go check it out if you want.  He wound up just flashing the memory card and that worked.

I just rebooted the node and everything is up and running on v2.0.5.  I'll stay here since my node has been running well and I don't want to fix whats not yet broken on the node until these update bugs are fixed.  I don't want to have to go through reflashing a good memory card.

That is my thoughts as well. I am mining with 2 other miners using the node as well, all 3 using diff wallets and no problems. So no reason to chance updating it.

My choice was to download the update directly at https://github.com/jstefanop/apolloapi-v2/releases and then simply re-flash my 3 node machines back-to-back on new MicroSD's. It's pretty much risk free and it only took about 45 seconds on each machine to reconfigure with the minimal settings. The upside to this is that I can also keep the large update file on-hand for any future needs if necessary. If this version doesn't work out I still have the old v2.0.5 MicroSD's as well as the backups for each machine. So far so good on v2.0.6.

Cheers!

Hi
So unfortunately due to my internet provider and 4g/5g wireless restrictions in the UK I cannot open ports on my Wireless router  Angry
I was wondering what opening the port actually does ??
also would it work if I got a copy of the connections from a miner that had 64 connections and copy/paste them into my miner manually, would that work?

otherwise super impressed with this unit and I am more than happy to let it run with the restrictions that I have at the moment  Smiley

Thanks in advance people
