Hi all - I am able to point hash from MiningRigRentals to my FB Apollo but wasn't successful with NiceHash. Any tips to get it to work?
Thank you
What does NiceHash say when you try to verify your pool? You likely need to increase the starting difficulty from 42 to 500,000 on CK Pool by editing the ckpool.conf on your Apollo.

It's been a while since I last tried but what you are saying makes sense. I will figure out how to adjust the diff and give it a shot. Thank you

I was just thinking about that. You could use a bitcoin cash address and mine in a pool. But the funny thing is when you look at the difficulty to rewards, I'd rather stay on bitcoin. The rewards just don't match up to being worthwhile. THe longer I mine bitcoin the better the odds of hitting a block over time, or never. But I'll take that chance. The difficulty in BCH is very high and rewards are low. If you started a fresh Apollo II with blank node memory, you could redirect the bitcoind to a BCH node and download the BCH blockchain, then solo mine when it was complete. That's what I was thinking about. Would need a new memory card so you don't confuse it with Bitcoin. Maybe even a new microsd after reprogramming the bitcoind to the BCH blockchain.

currently at 18 billion on apollo II. I had a usb futurebit moonlander hit 1.2 trillion but just short of solving the block. probably took about 2 years. Anything is possible. Can't solve it if its not running. Would love to plug the futurebit moonlander into the usb ports on the apollo II and mine them to the node. Any Tips?

+1 for this question. Apollo 2 software update with this capability soon? 2.1 will be out shortly, we are working on user selectable node clients for 2.2 in a few months. Needs lots of testing...our nodes being used as solo mining nodes carries more weight, last thing we want is to rush an update and then have someone fail to submit a valid block because of a badly tested node client. FYI current client is 25.1 and 2.1 client will be 28.1. The controversial update is for 30 so there is not much functional differences between the clients we use as default and knots.

All crucial P2/P3/P3+ drives and Kingston NV2 drives will work...Kingston NV3 drives there is a variant that does not work due to some weird controller they use. Those are the drives we have tested internally.

Excellent news! Congrats to the whole Futurebit team on the update.
I look forward to updating as soon as I backup the Home Assistant data, which I just installed on Monday and loving so far (for those interested).
Two questions from me:
- being a Batch 3 owner, will there be future updates/features that come to the new MCU2 and not to MCU1? Hope I'm on a 'retired' or 'legacy' hw platform after only a few months.
- after reboot, at the login screen, is there a reason virtual keyboard is disabled/not loading? I share a keyboard between my workstation and futurebit. Was hoping to use the virtual key board to login, but doesn't appear to work. Was this intentional?
is it possible to upgrade our MCU1 controller with a MCU2 controller . What model is the MCU2 controller?

Question - if I have my Apollo2 miners turned off but the node is still running - and I have an outside miner like a Bitaxe pointing to the node - why doesn't the SOLO Mining dashboard show it? It only shows the additional miner/worker when the Apollo miners are on. But it's still working against the node and hashing, so why wouldn't it show?

I've mentioned this previously. The node is still running, we just for some reason can't access the stats via the GUI. Not sure if the team is working on this but would be great if they could!
