The early launch stability issues have been dealt with and mining has been smooth for some months now.

We dealt with a TX reward issue early on, and a mining difficulty issue. The difficulty was not adjusting quite right, and we've been watching the difficulty adjust up and down correctly for some time.

I’m Liam, one of the developers working on the virtual machine. Here’s a status update for the VM.

We have:
  • Implemented nearly all of the opcodes required for compatibility with the Ethereum VM. This includes wallet creation message-calls to transfer XGT or call other contracts
  • Achieved address compatibility with Ethereum
  • Tested compiled solidity contracts against our virtual machine
  • Begun connecting the energy system to smart contract operations

What's left to do:
  • Reconcile differences in coin subdivisions between Ethereum and XGT
  • Complete the few remaining opcodes
  • Connect the energy system to smart contract operations for rate limiting
