Hi sir,
I have joined bitcointalk about 1 year ago. Now my membership rank is "Newbie". So that i can't participate in many bounties. Can you help me to give some advice to increase my bitcointalk account rank?

Start by taking your focus off bounties, a glance at your post history shows almost all of your posts are bounty reports.
Rank is determined by merit and activities, you can rack up lots of the latter through such reports, but none of the former.

So that i can't participate in many bounties. Can you help me to give some advice to increase my bitcointalk account rank?
First advice would be to forget about the first sentence and focus on learning and exploring about Bitcoin. There are no shortcuts and bounties/signatures etc are secondary purposes of the forum, the primary one is Bitcoin discussions.

This topic, with a rank focus, has been recurrently discussed here on Beginners & Help over the past few years, so if you search around, you are bound to find many threads on the matter with ample discussion.

The rank requirements are here: Merit & new rank requirements, and as you’ll see, your Activity meets that of a Sr. Member, but the Merit co-requisite is 250, and that is a hell of a ride to reach for the most, and impossible to even approach by simply posting bounty reports. You need to shift your focus to providing decent content on the forum, as opposed to what your posting history currently denotes.

The two speakers above have wisely spoken base on experience and how the platform works, but I as a junior member and with the little experience I have had say that one way to get merit on this forum is to provide valuable content. Because "merit" just as the name goes, is a reward given for providing value..
So in summary, just strive to provide value and I am definitely sure you shall be merited.. Thanks

Seeing the OP's post history, either he changes his ways a lot in this forum or he's not going to get a single merit in an honest way.

I would say that it is not only to provide valuable content. Maybe people who are just starting in this world, don't know much and can't add value at the moment, but sometimes just by showing in your post history that you are using the forum to learn, and help others when you can, little by little you will gain merits.

This might be an unpopular suggestion, but stop using "sir" or "mam" in asking questions. This is a forum, not a workplace. It is totally fine to call someone by their usernames.

Unless you change your way from focusing to join more bounties, then you ain't gonna get anywhere in your rank.
Your post history is 99% bounty reports, and the rest were just one-liners. That won't get you any single merit, if you might ask.

I am quite curious why your first post was a bounty report. Roll Eyes

With your time in the forum, you would have known why you did neither rank up nor receive any merit. This topic presents why you can not rank up.

It is your problem. You make bounty reports, hundreds of report. Do you think you help any member here with your bounty report? What contributions do you think you have made?

I am new in crypto sector. I was participated many airdrop and bounties. but most of them were scam. They didn't pay their promoter.

I thought you eventually realized that what you had been doing for almost a year on this forum was not worth it at all, but it seems that you still want to go in the same direction. Listen to the advice of experienced members and stop wasting time hunting ghosts - the forum offers knowledge that is completely free, and if you decide to change the direction of movement, you will surely benefit greatly from it in the future. If something is mostly scam, why insist on constant participation in it?

Your activities shows that you have been here for years but the only thing i captured here causing stunted growth for you is because of the area of your concentration in the forum, it's obvious that you are a bounty Hunter, so how do you think that you will rank up without making positive contribution to the community, the only criteria i understand that will enhance the development of newbie via ranking up is a vital research, observation and good quality post because merit is awarded base on good post that's worthy to be emulate. As a newbie you have to learn and understand the concept of cryptocurrency in general especially Bitcoin.

I checked your profile and post history and didn't find anything that deserves a reward in the form of merits.
I see that you have written almost all the posts on assignment, and there is nothing that is originally yours, something that would benefit the community on this forum.
Why would anyone give a merits for a post in which you report on your participation in the campaign, these are completely worthless posts.
If you really want to progress on this forum you have to completely change your approach and contribute to this forum in an original way.
I also suggest that you delete information about your personal email and country from your profile.

I'm guessing you have lots of activities on your account because of bounties? Correct me if I'm wrong if this is what you've been doing then you will forever remain a newbie because no one will dare send you merit for promoting bounty projects

Based on his post history, majority are bounties so he has to stop doing them.

What I'm thinking is that he sees signature campaigns as more rewarding hence the topic in question, but it's gonna take him a looooong time if he wants to change his ways.

Social media link spammers are the worst kind of bounty hunters. Don't take it personally, that's my opinion and I am sure many members look at it the same way.

To earn merits, you need a history of good posts that someone else will like and deem merit-worthy. Do you think twitter and facebook links are posts anyone will like and award merits for? If you want to become a member of this community, you can. For that, you have to start reading and learning about bitcoin, and discuss it with other members here.

If you go to the Beginners & Help board, you can find threads were people might be willing to help newbies for completing simple tasks. Try to find them yourself...message signing...ahem. It's unlikely that the thread-starter would want to help you (looking at your post history), but you can learn something for free and you can use those skills to acquire new knowledge, or maybe help someone else who could award you with a merit or two.

Start by taking your focus off bounties
I suspect that's easier said than done for OP, who probably came here specifically to earn money--obviously he's never taken the time to read anything in Meta, else he'd know how ranks are determined.  I don't know what he's been doing for the last year, but since he hasn't earned a single merit he obviously hasn't been making posts that have caught the attention of anyone with sMerits to give out.

Social media link spammers are the worst kind of bounty hunters.
Since I don't use social media, I personally couldn't care less if any Facebook or Twitter feeds get flooded with spam.  What I do care about is the "post on bitcointalk" component of many bounties, where I believe you need to be at least a Jr. Member with some advertising space in your signature.  That's annoying to me because it motivates members to crank out as many posts as their bounty allows, and usually they're of piss-poor quality.

Lucius offered a good insight in what he has been doing and his post history shows it all. It doesn't look like he wants to stop.

That's what I meant when I said social media link spammer. He posts links to his twitter and facebook posts in the bounty threads on Bitcointalk. 100s of users do that daily and all it does is create 100s of pages of spam in the bounty threads. If you were to remove the social media reports and fake bump conversations, most of those bounty threads would have a few pages at most. The way it is now, they go up to several hundred pages.

When it comes to social media campaigns, I don't think they have rank requirements like other type of campaigns because the activities take place outside of the forum anyways. They would only care about friends/follower count. That makes them available to newbies as well.

It was probably a poor choice of words on my part, because I did read Lucius's post and even if I hadn't I would have a good idea of what kinds of posts OP has been making just based on his post count and lack of merits.

That's what I meant when I said social media link spammer. He posts links to his twitter and facebook posts in the bounty threads on Bitcointalk.
Ah, I thought you meant members who are required to spam on social media sites for their bounties.  I know that is (or used to be) one of the main tasks bounty hunters had to perform.  But it's been a long time since I've looked at a bounty thread--probably over 2 years.  If they're only spamming in that section as you said, I don't see the big deal.  That section is a snake's nest of trash anyway and the only people who visit it are either bounty hunters or good samaritans looking to report posts.

I won't repeat what was already said. I just suggest - stop doing bounties, it's waste of time. You're not only won't rank up with it. You will get scammed many times and won't earn something decent. Value your time and try to spend it more effective.
This might be an unpopular suggestion, but stop using "sir" or "mam" in asking questions. This is a forum, not a workplace. It is totally fine to call someone by their usernames.
I don't know why you think it's unpopular opinion. Actually, I think it's very good point. Personally, I'm not paying much attention to such things, but for some people it may be annoying. There is no need to do it. I know there part of Asian culture or something similar, but you should look how people communicate here.

Stop doing bounty applications like crazy and focus more on writing in topics you are really interested in real life, or write something you want to learn about Bitcoin and cryptos.
It is really not that hard to rank up for real users if they put some effort and be genuine in forum as much as possible.

Hi sir,
I have joined bitcointalk about 1 year ago. Now my membership rank is "Newbie". So that i can't participate in many bounties. Can you help me to give some advice to increase my bitcointalk account rank?
if you don't read much and make this forum a place to share and gain knowledge then you will not be able to get "merit" (80% of your posts i see are bounty reports, it makes your account dirty)
