I am plaaning to invest on alts 2024. For the moment i keep my usdt. I am thinking that these coins still at higher prices , they  will sure more 80-90% down.

How about your views?

I also experienced the same thing as you, saving usdt to wait for the right time to sell at expensive numbers, but this didn't really work for me because I tend to invest in cheap meme coins with a large number of coins, there was one success I in investing in meme coins, at that time the price of dogecoin I bought was priced at $ 0.0002748 but about 3 months later the price of this coin rose significantly from the previous price to $ 0.68723, and none of the coin connoisseurs predicted this, so I concluded that investing in cheap coins is more likely for us to get a profit than investing in expensive coins but we don't necessarily get big profits, not to mention the risk we get is much smaller and we can minimize it well

there are two types of coins in my opinion?
1. a coin that has a high buying value but a stable selling value
2. The purchase price of the coin is cheap, but the selling value is slightly higher than the number purchased.
we are given two choices to invest, but what we need to know, our financial readiness is at which point, so that we are able to invest properly.
don't invest because the coin price is stable in the market but the purchase value is expensive, this is not right for people who are ready to be in the second point position. it's good to take the opportunity at the second point the value of cheap coins but in the long term it will rise slowly and surely, even though the period of time we have to wait is a little longer. sometimes people rarely take this rare considering that our mainset is always fixated on coins that have a high selling value even though our readiness has not reached that point and this is stupidity that I think we need to change, so that what we want to take becomes the right and correct decision in invest

To look for altcoin success at this stage, ask yourself where is bitcoin going?  Current altcoins mainly revolve around scaling, defi, NFT support, diversification trends... I have $SOv and $PYR in my pocket.  I hope not to lose my shorts in 2024 or 2025. Lol, actually $Sov is down 8x ATH but I believe any crypto starting this year will be in  in a similar situation.  , I expect sov like when you suddenly notice a love.
Not recommending any form of investment but only if you love it.  Is it possible!

Old altcoins are usually strong enough to face a bear market and it has been proven that the old top altcoins are really strong and able to survive in the market even though the price drops drastically but the demand is so high to buy and hold until the time comes to sell it at a high price. profitable if holding it to sell at the highest price buying top altcoins is the right decision and selling it at the right time just how the patient is needed to wait for the price to rise.

Imagine if the drop happens 50% yet you will not buy because you will wait for another 30% then suddenly the value increase and the bull starts to run , then what will happen to you?

down 50% and we decided to buy it could be great deal for us as long as its used for long term investment purpose. If we have to wait till 2024 and price goes down more than 90% , i think we miss alot opportunity in market. just remember price will not always down , it will bounce for a moment and we should take it for short term investment.

Bitcoin =/= Altcoin. Bitcoin might go up, but a shitcoin will be shitcoin. Don't expect much from it regardless of how much Bitcoin rises, whether it'd be adoption or its price.

Watch out dude, a few years back if you invest in top 10 coins on coinmarketcap you will lose value so much.
Just focus on something time-proven like ETH.
Sure you don't get the biggest gain. but you will stay relatively safe on your investment.

I think the price of altcoins will not drop drastically like that let alone up to 80%, the current decline in altcoins has opened up opportunities for traders to buy because all coins have fallen on average by half the price and before 2024 there will certainly be many new projects that have an impact on bitcoin's increase and also all altcoins

The biggest mistake for investors is to wait and hope the price goes down, looking at the current market trend I believe that the market will continue to grow and will not be 80-90%% cheaper as you want, I recommend investing immediately before the price gets more expensive.

Remember, the reason why BTC dropped to 3500$ in 2020 was because of CoViD19, BTC was strong at 10k but the pandemic ruined everything at that time and yet it was a wonderful opportunity for those who aren't scared at the time so don't expect crypto market to crash again, there is a very very low chance that BTC will ever taste 10k again as there are too many waiting to buy back at 25k already

That's the correct approach to bitcoin world, when it increases a lot, it doesn't decrease to very lower levels it just doesn't happen, bitcoin goes up and when it goes "down" it is still higher than what it used to be. Just to give an example our "peak" in 2014 bull run was 1400 dollars, after that in 2017 we reached to 20k but when we went "down" it wasn't under 1400 ever again, it stayed over 3k at all times and never dropped under the peak of 2014 ever again.

Same goes for this year, we went over 20k which was the peak of 2017, but then we dropped yet we never dropped under 20k ever again, the "peak" of 2017 is now a very low number that we will never see again. That's how crypto moves, it goes to a peak, then drops to higher than previous peak and then goes to a new peak all over again and keeps repeating that every single time constantly.

Either OP dont know how to do a research and waiting for 3 years wont really help him. Or he believes that Bitcoin and altcoin price growth happens only every 4 years and waits for another cycle. If I were him, I would not hold funds in USDT and would invest everything in Bitcoin, as I dont believe that its price can just drop down to zero one day.

there is only one problem, this is understanding in choosing a project in which you can invest money.

It's not actually a problem if you're too keen with the market.

If you do research and you're a savvy guy, you won't have any problems looking for which project can be good based from your research.

And you're likely to avoid those projects that have zero value at all.

I think now is the right time to invest, because almost all altcoins are at very low prices for now, the altcoin I highly recommend is BNB, because in addition to BNB's price which has almost touched 700$, BNB coin is also a low risk coin.

I believe now many trader getting alot of profit because alot of coin soar from the bottomed.
