The dip in Cryptocurrency market was real and the ATH has been reached severally in the last six months! It only natural to sell when prices are falling but in Cryptocurrency, holder usually win! So I am holding my quality altcoin and bitcoin as well!

Honestly wanted to ask and to discovered the newbies among us. i though of creating a vote but it is not Necessary. i really wanted to ask if there are members of this community that sold off during the last dip thinking that the market has crashed. alot of friends kept complaining that bitcoin and alts will go deep down and it will take months before coming back.
Really wanted to find out people that lost their grip and sold off. what really was your main reason for NOT holding...
 Because I was able to make more profits and increase my volume by sell-off somewhere at the top while the dip started and I was also able to buy back now even though I did also take profits from my initial sales. I have always seen people claiming it is the newbies that sold during times like this but we truly know that is not the fact, Is it not also wise to sell when Bitcoin was like $60k or maybe even $55k and buyback around even $30k-$35k? If you believe that the market was correcting and that wasn't the end then you know that this was an opportunity you have to increase your position. |

I really can't believe this. I sold all my crypto assets at a very wrong time. I am sadly watching the market right now. Frankly, I was expecting a price of $29000 for Bitcoin. I sold it for this when it was $33000. Now I hope I can see a back dump again  |

It is irrational to sell your virtual currency now，The market is slowly recovering, and the bull market may be coming soon.
Waiting until the market becomes better, then sell your coins.

I sold most of my coins and tokens as soon as ethereum hit 4000$, I knew the market won't be able to keep up after that, it's just a hunch though because I was here in 2018 and I still remember what happend at that time, no matter how many people are buying and buying if bears determined to march in nothing can stand in their way
You've done a good thing to sell most of your coins at a high peak. Not many of us did that because many of us think that the price can increase more, but they do not think like you. Yes, the market will not stay at a high price for a long time, and there will be a time for the price to make a correction, which is happening now. People who do not yet sell their coins can wait for more and patients because the market will increase back. |

Prior to the Dip, I was expecting Ethereum to $5K but it reverse drastically and it fails my planning. I was thinking to get some extra profit if Ethereum hits $5K but it did not happen and I have some liability to pay my debts so I sold my little part of the Ethereum @2500$ and today Ethereum is over $2800 even I have no plan to sell at that rate. I am a long-term holder and apart from this I hold my all coins and did not sell.

I didn't sell it off actually it's been liquidated after sometime I found out that the futures is much profitable rather than spot trading but of course the multiplier is both for profit and loss and with the current dip most of my positions were liquidated. So to answer your question yes I do fall for the current dip but I didn't sell it off it was automatically liquidated.

Some of my friends made that action and i can't blame them because they need to earn shorttime and not like me that willing to keep holding and risk my money. I use to do that short term investment but since i am busy at work now and personal life , i choose to just add small amount of Bitcoin or other crypto each payday so i can have multiple investment that i don't need to be afraid of losing or need to check from time to time. I am rooting for at least 3 years minimum holding before deciding what to do. the longest holding record of mine is 2 years so i want to break this time and will make it 4 years straight. meaning up to the next halving i will be on it. |

I both doing the same, selling and holding. I may not call myself being a panic seller but the purpose of selling is to secure my capital which is think was very important rather than to lose everything we have because of that word HOLD. To be honest, I'm no fan of holding for long, I definitely have to sell if there is a chance. Because I was been trick by such a word HOLD before, yeah, I do hold for many years but nothing happens. So I don't want to make it happen again. |

There are investors (mostly newbies) who sell their coins during this dip for some reasons, the most common is because of fud. When the market is moving downward, its quite common to think of bad scenarios that can happen. But for new investors who are not familiar on the market or didnt see this coming, panic is hitting them that lead to selling off. While some of us are already in need of money especially this time of pandemic and has no choice but to sell at loss.
In my case I didnt sell because I used to see the market turning ups and down. Its the advantage of investors who already been here for years to experience different situations. Thats why its a must to know what you're getting into before investing your hard earned money.

I already convert to usdt when I smell something wrong with the trends starting with what they call shitcoins starting to go up rapidly in the price with a just tweet and people posting about it, before the downtrend starts I immediately switch to usdt, and after a few days it really happens I did not know it will happen but, with my experience in 2017, the same thing happens, with that, I earn some by buying it at the lowest price.

It is no longer strange that panic is a natural trait experienced by all traders. except for those who really understand that the crypto trading cycle is just the way it is. those who sell because they are carried away by FUD which destroys the future. selling at a risk which will be a regret later on.

I'm sure there will be people selling when the dip happens. many panicked people ended up selling some or all of their assets. In fact, some people have already made threads and talked about their losses. however, the principle that I hold is still quite strong, I don't sell when the price is high, and when the price goes down, I have to be strong to hold it

Good thing is that I still keep holding, I am already trusted bitcoin and once it goes down, I will still hold and it and will not hesitate of selling it, I know that bitcoin can reach the new ATH again within this year, despite of many FUDS, bitcoin is still strong and keeps on reaching for about $35000, do no sell while in dip, you will literally lose your money from that, just keep holding it and buy more.

honestly i am sold some of my assets, but i use it to rebuy again so i could accumulate my coins amount no matter its value in dollar decrease alot. i am believe this is the whales scenario to get cheap price,and if i could hold it as long as roadmap planned well everything will be okay. previous bloody market at 2017 i met it so history will repeat it self.

Yes there are many traders who sell their assets in panic when prices fall but it is foolish in the crypto market the price of currencies goes down but later the price doubles. Therefore it should be held without selling I sold half of it and left half so that I would not have to regret it if the price went up later. |

I hope you were right but I not sure that there is another ATH happening this year. Whether you believe me or not, but we are done already with the ATH. What we got now is a huge correction and if ever there is a recovery (where we just hope to commence), I'm not going to say that it leads to a new ATH. I'm not going to say that holding is the best thing we have to do now, but we have to consider your current situation coz if it seems that you in profit now, I suggest doing the selling. Not all holding gives positive results, many were also suffering losses. And might possibly happen to you. |

You should sell at the right time to make profit, then you will be able to collect it from the dip. Everyone has a solid reason, but I work for more. In the past years, while everyone was waiting $100k, btc price fell to the bottom at the end of the year. Since I thought the same scene will experience this year, I have exchanged half of portfolio to usdt from the good price. Prices have reached unexpected peaks, but now it is time to come down a little bit. |
